So I just asked Alexis what this was called and she said it was Dixie Mountain. I think she is right.
We went out to the Olive garden for dinner one night. Alexis got all dolled up in her cute birthday clothes and if you can see… she is wearing makeup. That was one of her birthday presents from Ryan and I was the gift of makeup…. so crazy.
After dinner we went on a little hike up the crack or something like that. I don't remember what it was called, but it was very cool. This is a little house that the scouts fixed up.
Behind me is the start of the crack and it goes up to the top of the mountain.
All the kids went threw the really skinny crack, but it made me feel very claustrophobic so Sara, Ava, and I went the way that goes straight up….. It was a little harder than we thought it would be.
This is the top of the crack looking down…. the kids are in that climbing up to us.
Sisters by Chance, Friends by Choice!!!
We bought Jex this airplane for Christmas and he has not had someone to show him how to put it together yet. So while Ryan had a little time while we were there they started it up. I can not believe how long those things take and how much patients it takes to put them together. Ryan is really into doing those kinds of things, but I would have such a hard time with it. I just love to see the end result and like to get to it quickly.
Also while we were in St. George Ryan, Chase, Brad, Jex, and Alexis all went rabbit hunting in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the night. I was a little freaked out of the thought of two kids shooting guns in the dark but I guess I worry to much right….. hmmmmmmm…. But they all had a blast and no one was hurt.
Also while we were in there with them their poor little old doggie Ruby died. A while back Reggie was ran over by Annette up at the cabin and it was a horrible experience for everyone. They took him to the vet and he went through surgery and they put him all back together and then had him stay for a whole week. Then after that Sara took him back into a vet in St. George only to find out that he couldn't really poop and he was not going to make it after all they had already done. So in a short time they lost both of the pugs that they had for 12 years. It was such a hard day for all of them. And to make it worse the cat Tom had been missing for a week and they had no idea what happened to him.
Elizabeth had caught a gecko while we were there and she loved it. But when she saw her best buddy Mia so sad she decided that she would give her the gecko to help her feel better. I thought it was really sweet of her.
We had such a great time with the Merrill's I really could have stayed for the entire summer. There is so many fun things to do, and the kids played and played, and swam and swam. Such a great vacation to start the summer!!!
