First day of school

Going into the second grade!  Teacher is Mrs. Smith

Going into the 7th Grade, in Jr. High

Going into the 4th grade, teacher is Mrs. Summers

I can not believe the summer is already over.  There are so many things I still wanted to do and I feel like it was over in a blink of an eye.  I think it is so crazy how so many parents are always so happy to have their kids go back to school, but I am always so sad and would much rather have them home with me.  They have been such a great help to me while they have been home and have gotten into a routine of doing chores and helping out around the house.  I am really missing that, and hate how little I get to see them now that they are gone to school.  I swear their days are so crazy and they need more time to just be kids.  They have to wake up at 6:30, get ready, get on the bus and 7:20, then the bell rings at 8:00.  They go all day and then don't get home until 4:25.  Then most days they all have homework and sports so we are going and going until it is bedtime.  I do love that we don't have school on Fridays so we can have that one extra day together and it makes the weekend feel a little longer.  I already miss them and Adison is going crazy being alone all day.  She has become my little shadow and doesn't let me out of her sight.  It is really nice to have her sisters to play with.

We made a trip to Idaho Falls to help my sister with moving out of her house.  She is trying to sell her house and is so sick of showing her house and having to make sure it is spotless every day and not being able to stay home when she wants.  If they want to show her house she has to leave and they never know how long it is going to take, and sometimes they don't even show up at all.   So annoying.  So she thought it would be best to move into my parents house before school started so she could get her house stages and hope it sells fast.  My mom kept asking her if she would stay in their house while they are on their mission so Annette said yes and now they are doing it.  I hope that it will all work out for all of them.  I know it has  been so hard on her kids to leave their friends, their school, and their home, but I think they are also really excited to stay with grandma and grandpa for a little while.  (even though my parents are never home because they love to play and travel)  My parents have had the funnest summer.  They went camping for a week with friends, worked at the fair for a week with Chris, then went to Salt Lake for a week to support my uncle Brent that had a heart surgery, then went to California to help my Marilyn's husband on his job and work on the new temple being built.  Then they went and stayed in St. George for a week and a half to watch Brad and Sara's kids while they went to Maui, and then they said they are going to come and stay at our house for a few days.  After they get home they have trips planned to go to New York, on a cruise with their friends, then to Texas to visit the Rainiy's, and then after that they are going to be slowing down to put their papers in.    I think they are ready to be home and I know my mom gets home sick so I bet they are ready to be home.

I love it when the kids fall asleep in the car.  It is so cute to see the little cheeps on these kids and the lips pop out.

While we were at my parents house Elizabeth thought she could twist a round brush in her hair and curl it or something, but it got so stuck in her hair I was ready to cut the thing out.  I started to get really frustrated and pull as hard as I could and that is when my dad with more patience than me jumped in to save her.

My dad really does have so much patience and it the best guy in the world.  I am glad that he was able to get that thing out of her hair without having to cut any hair.

After the hair was done I went downstairs and found Adison asleep like this.  It was so cute, but  it also looked so uncomfortable.

Lets see how many different faces Max can make…

This was the ride home from IF and the kids were all so sleepy again.

Ryan is already getting Max trained with his football.  He was even putting one in his crib for a little while.

Max has figured out how to go up the stairs and is really good at them, and he is so fast at it.  I can not turn my back for a minute or he will already be at the top.  I am still nervous to let him go on his own cause he doesn't know how to go down them yet.

We all went to the family day at the Utah state scrimmage.  They loved playing on the bouncy house, and seeing big blue

Grandma Harris was in a play and Ryan took the kids to go and see her be the star of the show.  They all loved it and thought she was great.

Lots going on

I have been looking for over a year now for a new bedspread and I finally found one I liked.  I want to get some more pillows that bring out some fun color, but I think it is a lot cleaner looking than the red one.  It just is bright and fun.  I have had a few people tell me that it makes the whole room look bigger for some reason.

I love these cute little pjs.  We got some hand me downs from Sara and they are so cute!   I am so glad she has such great taste because I hate shopping and I feel like I never find these cute of things anyway.

So this was a day that was wonderful because we finally got ride of all those dumb chickens!  But it was so sick because we were the ones who had to kill them and then clean them and do all that fun stuff…. It took up the entire day and it stunk so gross.  Oh and my poor girls were such great help, and such good sports.

You can see over on the table there are a few dead chickens ready to be cut into pieces.

so Lizzy and Brytlee took the job of pulling out all the feathers.

Chase had to put them into a milk jug and then he cut the throats  and then let them bleed out into the bucket.  It was so so so so so gross.

Then Ryan would boil them for a few minutes to get all the feathers hot and make it easy to pull them out.    I think Ryan figured it out that it was cheaper to just buy a whole chicken at the store for five bucks and I pray that he will never ever do this again.

Adison got a hair cut.  I was a little sad to do it but everyone said that if I cut it it might make it look like it is thicker and help it grow.  After it was cut she was happy for a little while, then she tried to brush her hair and when she could feel how short it was she was so MAD!!!  She yelled at me and told me that I mad her look like a boy and then ran off to her room and cried.  It was so sad;(  But now she has gotten used to it and she loves it again.

Selfie (or is she checking for buggers)

Look who is standing… and pulling himself up to everything.  How in the world do they grow up so fast.  He is only 6 1/2 months old and he is all over now.

Adison loves to wear max's clothes.   She really likes his jackets because they fit her like a 3/4 sleeve and that is her favorite.

This is max pulling himself up on my leg.  He is so cute and so funny.  I love his little personality!
