Alexis walking the Halls

Alexis walked the halls at her school this last Friday and we are so proud of her. She has read over 200 books!!!!
All the kids line up in the halls and cheer on the kids that are walking the halls.

Alexis is doing so well in school, and I am so proud of all that she is doing. She loves to read, and loves to go to school. She has been doing some after school classes that she has really loved. (arts and crafts, reading, drama, and science) She is really creative and is so good at any art's and craft project, and whatever else she tries to do. She is our little "smarty pants"

Church calling

We are in new ward now, and we have booth gotten our new callings. Ryan is in the scouts and he is the Webelos leader, and I was put in as the primary song leader. When they first told me my calling, I was really against it and tried to tell them that they were way off and to rethink what they were asking me to do. I have no talents when it comes to music and I really don't like to sing in front of people but they said that they still wanted me to do it....
I have been in for three weeks now and I like it a lot. I have had a lot of fun and the time just flies by. I am still just getting used to it, and I know I am not very good at leading and all that but at least we are having fun....

Little TuRkEy

Brytlee has been such a stinker the past couple of weeks, but it is hard to get mad at her or punish her because she is such a cute little girl.
She has been so hard to get to take a nap so I have started to wonder if she is just done with them.... but at 6:00 at night when she is really bad, and won't stop fussing I realize that she REALLY needs to nap.....

I have been putting her down for a nap and then going to to help Ryan on the house, before long we see her outside playing in the mud with no shoe's on.....
I am getting soooooooo sick of mud and dirt, and I know that it is going to be a while before that problem is fixed..... so what do you do?

Windows

This is me going to work with one of my new favorite tools we just got a week or so ago at Lowe's. We have been putting in our windows this past week and it is so fun to see the nice light come in, and the changes it makes to the house. (I really like cutting out the windows and then kicking them out.....) (takes out some of my frustrations)

This is our living room area,

Chase has been on his spring break this week so he has been helping us out a lot on the house and it is so nice to have extra hands. I am so glad that he is helping us out so much, and also Ryan's dad has been helping us so much. WE couldn't do this without family!
My parents came this weekend and my dad was able to help us on our house also. We had such a great day and got so much done. All the windows are in except the basement!!!! Yea!!!! We have such great family's and they are always so wiling to help us out! I don't know how I got so lucky!!!!

watch my back.....

Ryan was outside the other night with Brytlee and she said to him,
"I'm a pumpkin huh"
Ryan said,
Yea, your my pumpkin"
And Brytlee said,
"I'm mommy's pumpkin too"
Ryan said,
"Yea, we love mommy huh"
Brytlee said,
"Yea, we won't kill her"..........
I don't know where she got that but it sounded very funny coming out of the mouth of a three year old princess.......

My girls

I came in from working on the house with Ryan and saw my girls on the couch almost asleep like this. I am so happy to see that some times they do love each other and they can get along...... Alexis is such a cuddle bug and so she snuggled right up to her little sister and I thought it was so cute.
As soon as Brytlee saw the camera out she had to jump into the pictures as well

I can't get over how cute my girls are!!!!

bye bye long hair

Alexis has been asking for a hair cut for awhile and wanted it to be as short as Lizzy's...... I had a really hard time and would just trim it a little every time she asked but then she would get really mad at me..... So we finally did it.

I didn't go as short as Lizzy's because she kept showing me how she wanted it cut and it was a little different than Lizzy's.
She looks really cute, and loves her new look. I catch her all the time checking herself out in the mirror and fixing her hair now. She is such a beautiful little girl!

Brytlee's Birthday Party

We finally had a PARTY for Brytlee's birthday! Now she feels like she is three and isn't asking everyday if it is her birthday. I feel so bad that it took us so long to get a party together but it was a crazy month. We were in St. George alone for the day of her birthday, and then when we got back Ryan had to go to Florida for meetings and when he got home he had the flu, so when he was feeling better we made a cake!!!! She was so happy ( We have a book of cakes and she had picked this one out for her birthday cake about a month before her birthday and she called it "the pony cake")

She didn't want to take a big bite of her cake but she did put her tongue on the icing. I am so glad that she was able to have a little party and have her family with her on that day. I always worry about not doing as much for her as I do for the other girls, just because she is younger, and so I hope that she remembers her day and knows she is a very special girl and that we love her so much.

St. George

This last week I was able to go and stay with Brad and Sara's kids while they took a trip to Fiji for their Anniversary.
Alexis had to stay home with Ryan so that she didn't miss out on School, piano, and her after school classes. She was able to go the weekend before with Grandma and Grandpa Merrill so I think she was alright that she didn't get to come with me.

The girls were in the pool as much as they could be. Brytlee turned into a dare devil and was jumping into the pool, and having a blast. The weather wasn't all that warm but it didn't slow them down at all. Elizabeth swam so much that by the last day she had worn of the bottoms of her feet..... they started to bleed really bad, and she still wanted to keep swimming.....
I tried to do a lot of fun things with the kids because I feel like we have not gotten out a lot this winter and St. George has a few fun places to take the kids. We went to Jumpin' Jak's on one of the days and all the kids has so much fun. I let them run and play until they didn't have any energy left.

Jex is such a funny boy! He is such a sweetheart!!! I really hope that I get some boys and I hope they are sweet like he is. I couldn't believe how well all of the kids listened and would do what I asked them. It made me really wonder why my kids don't do that......

My good friend Tiffany was able to bring her girls over one afternoon and all the kids swam and played together. It was so fun to talk and hang out, I wish I could have gotten together with her and some other people but the week was so busy that I didn't have a lot of time on my hands.
Little baby Ava was such a Angel baby. She ended up getting sick and I could tell she didn't feel very well because she started to get a little fussy and was throwing up. She loved going outside and she didn't care if it was cold, or raining she wanted to go play.
Mya and Elizabeth played together so well, and had so much fun. Elizabeth was able to go with Mya to her pre-school and she loved it! Elizabeth is already missing Mya and wants to make the drive back to St. George to go and stay with her again.
