grades

The girls all got their grades this past week.  I am so proud of all the girls for how well they have done in school  Lizzy and Brytlee both had all A's and Alexis had all A's but two B's.  She was so dang close and worked so hard this year.  The two B's were in her classes that she really should have gotten A's in so they shouldn't really count.  Ha ha.  They are all doing great and I am so proud of them all.  They are all hard workers and area all great students.  I am so thankful for them and all the work they put into their schooling.  I am so thankful for good teachers and for all that they are being taught.  And I am also so thankful for my Super smart amazing husband that can help them on anything I don't understand.  Ha ha. Ryan really is amazing and just a smart, amazing guy.  I am glad my girls all take after him.

Back to life.

I hurried home from our flight back from Vegas to try and make it to Brytlee's Wax museum and to Lizzy's science fair but I was just a little to late and missed them both.  Dang it.  When I first saw Max he was so funny.  He had a big smile on his face but wouldn't come and give me a hug and just walked over to the corner and put his face in it.  It was funny.  I put him down for a late nap and he was out.  I had to go and wake him up and he looked so dang cute sleeping.  It was funny when he did wake up his had was asleep and he couldn't figure out what was wrong with it.

There was a boy's basketball game that night and all the kids wanted to go with Ryan to the game and even Max.  So Adison and I ran to Logan to grab a sled before they were all sold out at Cal Ranch.  She was so cute and sweet and it was fun to just go hang out with her.

Max found Ryan's football helmet and he wanted to try it on.  I was surprised that it was a little hard to put on and off.

Brad has some older snowmobiles that he said the kids could bring to our house to ride around.  They have been having so much fun riding them around.  Adison and Max could ride in the sled behind it all day long.  I am finding out that they go threw gas really fast and it isn't very cheap to fill them both up every single day.

They are having so much fun outside.  I swear this whole winter we have not gone outside once and have not really even wanted to go outside.   This winter we have had a ton of snow and so it is the perfect year to have sleds to play on.

At the games on Saturday.  Brytlee and Alexis both had a game at 8.  Brytlee did great and scored 18 points in her game.  She is so good at stealing the ball and going and making a layup.  She had fun and it was fun to watch her play.  Alexis's team really struggled this week and they have four of their girls out with injures.

We had five games to watch on Saturday and Adison got a little board so this is what I have to let her do.  She loves to take pictures and play with my phone.

Vegas

I am one lucky girl.  I was able to go on a amazing girls trip this past week.  It was Jackie, Annette, Sara and I.  Cindy was not able to come because she was on a family trip in Disney land.  We had so much fun together and made some great memories.  I was so ready to have a little girl time and get to spend some time with my sisters.  I have the best family and they are so much fun and I love them all so much.

When we first got to Vegas we went to the hotel and checked into Caesars Palace.  We had such a great room and it was all brand new and even had that new house smell.  We went to the Cheesecake factory that night and ate some delicious food. We were all tired that night so we went back to the room that night and fell asleep watching hoarders.  Ryan and I had watched the hang over on TBS the week before so when Rob called Annette to see how we were she said, "There is a tiger in our bathroom, a baby in our closet and we can't find Jill."  It was funny but far from the truth.

Monday morning we slept till 10 and that was a huge accomplishment.  We got appointments for the spa at the M for 2 and Annette and Sara realized they didn't bring swim suits.  So we went shopping for swimsuits and then ate lunch and then to the spa.   It was the best day ever.  We had a 80 minute massage, and then a facial.  We sat in the steam room, the sauna, the hot tub and just relaxed until 7. We were able to shower and do our makeup and hair in the super nice bathroom.   Talk about a spoiled day.  But really the best day ever.

My grandparents were in Vegas also at a condo so we talked to them and they told us they wanted to buy us dinner.  They had won a bunch of money from the hotel and had to use it up before they left.  We went to steak and shake and had a yummy meal with them.  I love my grandparents  They are the funnest couple and always make me laugh.  We went to their room and played a few rounds of rummy cube after dinner and Sara about feel asleep.

The next day we went to a furniture show that is a pretty amazing thing.  All the buyers go to see the new lines of every company possible and they get to choose who they want to buy from and see the price of the items before they are make up 210 percent.  There was so much it started to all blur together after a while.  There were three huge buildings with eighteen floors each and they were all full of dealers.  We made it through maybe part of one building.

I got a little tired after a while and had to sit and fall asleep for a little while.   Then I got board and started to take a bunch of ugly pictures for my snapchat.  ha ha
We saw lots of naked statues at our hotel..... we ate breakfast one morning in our hotel and I got a really yummy crepe and when they called my name this guy walked up and grabbed it and stared to walk off with it.  I went up to him and told him it was mine and so he hurried and walked out.  I couldn't believe he was really trying to steal my food.   What a turd.

That night we went to a restaurant that one of Sara's friends had told us to try.  It was in our hotel so we pulled it up on our phones and started to walk around to find it.  We went all the way into the mall and then about a mile away it told us to go out onto the street and then go back to our hotel and go in the front door.  We figured out that it was right by the elevator that we had been getting on to go to our room and we just walked the wrong direction and had missed it.  Dang phone took us on a very long walk.  The food was so good but the plates were very small and very expensive.  We all were full after dinner so I guess it was just the right size.  Ha ha

this is what a 2000$ coat looks like.  I swear the things that some people buy with their money huh.    Wed. Morning we woke up and went shopping.  It was so much fun to go shopping together.  It was fun to see what everyone liked and have someone tell you what looks good or bad on us.  It was funny because in the dressing room a lady came up to us and said, "you guys are so lucky to have such a great support group to help you shop"  it was so true.  I love having my sisters tell me what they think because i know that they are being honest.

After shopping we had been told by my aunt Nancy that the Menopause show was so funny that we were going to die laughing.  So we thought it would be fun to go to it and take grandma along.  Annette and I looked at each other about five minutes into the show and thought that maybe you had to have gone through menopause to find it funny and couldn't believe we were at that show.... it was full of older people...... but after a minute we stared doing things to make sure we had a good time.  Annette pointed at the pretty lady and said, "that's me"  then the hippy lady and said, "that's you"  We laughed so hard because that is what our kids do when they watch movies they have to find who they want to be in the movie.  That made it fun and I think that my grandma enjoyed it.   On the way back to her condo my grandma was telling us a few things about her when she was young.  It was so funny.  She is so much fun to be around and just a funny lady.  She said that she loved to play post office which is really spin the bottle.  Then when I asked her how many boy's she had kissed she said, "oh lots"  it was so funny how she said it.

Our trip really did go way to fast and I really thought about missing my flight and going home on Sunday instead.  I hate that when you are having fun time really does fly by.  I wish I could spend so much more time with my sisters.  They are the best.  After we did leave and had just gotten on our flight in the nick of time we got a text from Sara showing us that she had won $675 on the wheel of fortune.  She is one lucky duck.

why

I swear in life if I ever feel like I am getting ahead something happens to knock you back.  One step forward and three steps back right.  Ha ha.  I was going to pick up Brytlee from the neighbors house the other night and I just put Max on my lap.  I didn't notice that he had reached up and pushed the garage door button and it was half way down when I started backing up.  I caught the last panel on the door and messed it up really good.  Dang it.  I hate it when stuff like this happens.  There is no rewind button to push and I just wish so bad I could undo it.
I could tell Ryan was so mad at me but he held it together and was so nice about it.  I remember as a kid about 12 I had a party and was trying to impress my friends.  We decided we wanted to wash my sisters boyfriends truck and I thought I could just drive it onto the lawn.  It was a stick shift and I had never driven a stick before.  I got it started and it jumped right into the garage door.  I was so scared and thought I was dead meat.  I ran around cleaning the house and cleaning whatever I could to try and get me out of trouble.  I even called a few garage door places to see if I could talk them into come and fix them before my parents came home.  I remember telling my mom and she told me that I had to go and talk to my dad.  I don't know why that was so scary because my dad is the nicest person in the world.  But I think the thing that was the worst is that I always wanted to make my dad proud and impress him.  The last thing I wanted to do was tell him something bad.  I remember walking outside to go and talk to him and as soon as I saw him I just started balling my eyes out.  He just came over and gave me a huge hug and started laughing.  I was a little shocked and confused.  Then he started to tell me stories about when he was a kid and how he had ran his dad's tractor into a tree once and some other funny things that had happened to him.  He was so sweet and just amazing.  Instead of me telling him how sorry I was he was comforting me and telling me that it was ok.
I know that I am not near as good of a parent or as patient as he was and is.  I am so thankful to be married to a man that is just as good to me and is still patient with me.  I really did hit the jackpot when it comes to family and a husband.  I don't know what I ever did to deserve them all.

House work

We have been finishing part of our basement for the past few months and it is going slow but we have gotten a few things done.  The bathroom tile is all done but just needs the grout.  I found some really fun tiles that look like old barn wood and we put it in the shower and on one of the walls.  I can't wait to see how it all looks when it is done.

The old dresser that I refinished.  I love the knobs I found at hobby lobby.

We finished under the stairs because I want to build shelves there so we can have a place to put all the toys and things for the ping pong table and pool table and other stuff. Then into the hall way, bathroom, room for Max and Elizabeth.

This will be Max's room.  I can't wait to see how it turns out.  Ryan said he is in charge of his room so he has picked out most of the stuff for it.
