vegas

I was so lucky and was able to take a quick trip to Vegas last week with my parents, Annette and Sara.  It was so much fun and sadly I didn't take a camera to snap any fun shots of us..... but we didn't really do anything to take pictures of.  We shopped every day and my poor dad was happy to let us.  He is so amazing....  Annette and I were saying how much fun it was to go and shop at places that were not the grocery store.  After trying on tons of clothes and seeing how I really didn't like the way that anything looked on me I decided I really need to work out harder and get into shape......  so I mostly shopped for my girls. (but after how much I laughed I really should have had a six pack)  We ate sooo  good and had some of the best food I have ever had.  I keep thinking back to how yummy everything was and it makes my mouth water......  (I may or my not have gained 10 pounds in less than one week)  I think that Annette's favorite place was the train station buffet.....  Ha ha
I still can not believe how fast our time went in Vegas (we flew to Vegas on Monday and come home on Friday)  I am really sad that it is over and now I am back to normal life but I missed my hubby and girls so it was good to be with them again.  I LOVED every second that I was able to spend with my family in Vegas and I am so lucky to have such fun parents and sisters that I wish I could be with all the time.  I just feel so happy when I am with them, and it is really nice to get away and forget about all the cleaning I need to do.

funny things

Brytlee has said some really fun things the past couple of weeks so I need to get them written down before I forget.  Most of the funny things have been while she is praying.  She thinks of so many things and is very thoughtful in her prayers, and also thinks of things that are just funny.... the other night she was praying for our garden to grow and for our grass to grow and the trees to get good food and for the weeds to go away and for there to be no more weeds.  (what 5 year old thinks about this????)
Elizabeth was telling me a story the other day and she said, "this boy was talking and it was like he was speaking with a English accident."
Brytlee was on the ground and a little boy stepped on her finger and it tore the skin away from her fingernail and she came up to me and said, "mom look at my finger, It hurts so bad it is awesome!" she was acting very tough about it and never even cried.
The other night the girls and I went on a little bike ride around the block and Brytlee has gotten to be a little dare devil on her bike and has been going on bumps and on the grass and in little puddles.  She was going as fast as she could and was in front of all of us and then just darted into a field.  I was so scared that she was going to crash end over end with how fast she was going but she got back to the road and had a huge smile on her face.
Alexis and Elizabeth have been in habit of eating peaches every night before they go to bed and Brytlee has never really tried them or wanted to but one night she was telling us how much she loved peaches and the girls were saying, "no you don't.... you never even eat them."  she she told me to get her some.   It was the funniest thing I have watched seeing her eat her peaches and tell us how good they were when with each bite she almost threw up.....  she would take a bite, chew it a couple of times and then when she would try to swallow she would cough and gag.   Then when she got it down she would say, "mmm that was good."  then we all started to laugh really hard and she was mad at us and said,"  you guys it's not funny, I almost died."
One day Brytlee and I were driving and we were kinda close to the hospital and there was a couple of cop cars and a bunch of people on the side walk so we drove slow to see what was going on.  It looked like someone tried to escape from the nursing home and was going to fast in the wheelchair and tipped over on the corner.  The police were trying to get the man back into the wheelchair and Brytlee was so worried about him.  At first she thought he was died, and then she was worried he was hurt, and then she was worried he needed some flowers.  It has been four days and she is still asking questions and really wants to go and take him flowers and give him a hug.

Easter

We had a nice Easter this year. It started out on Saturday with the towns Easter egg hunt. The girls love going each year and trying really hard to find the golden eggs and trying really hard to win the big prizes. Elizabeth was so close this year it was such a bummer..... she was just inches away from grabbing a golden egg and a little boy got to it first.
the girls were able to get their pictures with the little helper bunny. Adison was just taking it all in...

Such beautiful girls. the look so grown up
Brytlee's face in this picture cracks me up. She was so super excited or maybe had just had to much candy.....
My girls have never been very good at this at a young age. (they would always freeze up and get scared when they heard the loud firetruck and then see all the people go crazy. Or they would just get one egg and be happy) but Adison did really well. She wasn't afraid and enjoyed picking up as much as she could.

After the hunt was over Adison was sooooo tired. She slept for a while in the car on the way home and even went back to sleep when we got home.
I had to take a picture of this messy faced little girl. Alexis was feeding her a banana and then gave her some chocolate.

the girls picked these beautiful flowers for me for my Easter present.

Brytlee was so worn out from all the action she crashed
Adison is so funny when she sleeps. She always has to have her feet out of the crib. As soon as you lay her down she works at least one of her legs out of the bars.
This was her sad face she gave me when I wouldn't let her hold the camera. This little sad face and cry breaks my heart every time.... She really knows how to make me feel bad and give her whatever she is after......
I thought this face was so funny. Adison was sick on Easter day and has still been acting a little sick after a whole week. I can not wait to get her back to normal. She has been acting like a picky eater and isn't interested in food at all. She wants to be held a lot more but then doesn't really know what she wants when you are holding her. She is still really happy and will give you the best smiles but just not the normal little Adison.

Cabin Fever.... Spring Break

We had a great spring break!!! We stayed home the first part of the week and relaxed and tried to sleep in. Then on Wed. we went to IF for a day and then up to our grandparents cabin. I grew up going to this cabin a lot and it brought back so many great memories for me to be there. A few times my sister and I asked ourselves how in the world our family's did it back in the day..... because we would go up and stay with my moms whole family..... loads of kids and adults.... I think we are a little spoiled because with just her family and mine we felt a little claustrophobic.. but we still had so much fun and the kids especially had so much fun and made some great memories.

there was no snow the whole way to the cabin.... but then when we went up the mountain there was about two feet left of really wet melting snow. We had wet clothes and snow clothes up all over the place and had to change our kids frequently
we had a lot of great movies for the kids to watch while they got warmed up
the baby's were so good. Adison can not wait for her little buddy Joslynn to start playing with her
the weather was great and really warm the whole time we were there, and the girls were outside as much as they could
I remember trying to climb this and slide down when I was little.... never worked for me either.
the kids made a sweet fort thing.... but they only made it half way through it and it started to melt pretty fast.

we went on a drive on Saturday and found a great park in Afton for the kids to run around and play. The weather was so warm
Rob showed us his skills and helped get the swing down. We were all very impressed
Adison loves to be outside and really loves to swing. I think she could do this all day long

Mike has grown up a ton. He is so great with baby's and Adison really likes him. This picture looks funny, but she really was having fun with him
Tessa came up for two hours to play with Brytlee and that was really fun for her.
we played conference bingo this year and the kids all loved it. I will for sure be doing this again. we had a basket they could pick a treat from when they got a bingo and then after two bingo's they had to get a blackout before they could get another treat.

my mom and dad going down the slick hill..... I thought they were all going to fall at one point....
Adison loved this little swing and would get so mad when we got her out. Her little hands would get so cold but she didn't care.
I love this taboggin. I don't know if you can buy them anymore but they are the best sled ever

we went for a little walk at the dam and it was so beautiful

the boys and Alexis all went fishing

I thought this picture of Rob was so cool. I love how you can see him and the reflection in the water.
I love Palisades. It is so beautiful!
silly girls

Summer is so grown up and is a couple inches taller than me now. I swear she should still be a baby..... time goes so fast
Annette's cute family

you can't really tell because they have such little bums but they are sticking their bums out because it says bump

Happy little girl
I remember doing so many fun tricks on these stairs..... my girls didn't even try any
By the end of our trip the kids were so wet and the snow boots would not dry we had to put plastic bags under their snow clothes to help them stay dry.....

we had a great time with my sisters family, and the kids really loved it and can't wait to go back. Annette and I had our moments of feeling crazy, and it was so much work but the more you think about it the funner it really was. we had a few times we had to go and hid and just laugh about everything and get some time to ourselves. I love having a sister that no mater how crazy things get you can just still laugh about it. I had times that I really could have cried or yelled but if I just look at her I can't help have a laughing attack.
After we came home and walking into my house if felt SOOOOO good. I just have to say how much I LOVE my house. MY husband really is amazing and I am so grateful to have a beautiful home. I love everything about it, but I love being with him and our girls in this home the most.
