Pre-school Graduation

Elizabeth had her Pre-School Graduation today and is so ready for Kindergarten!

She went to a fun pre-school that also did gymnastics and swimming. She was one of the oldest in the class and sometimes was a little board and wanted to do more advanced things but she always had a great time.

When they asked Elizabeth what she wanted to be when she grows up she told them she wanted to be a Mom! (she is so cute)
She was so shy and didn't want to sing or do anything at the first of the program.
All the kids did the dance and when I was telling her to do it, she just stood there and shook her head "NO" at me.

Elizabeth is so excited to go to Kindergarten and has been ready for a long time. She will be one of the very oldest because she only missed the deadline last year by 9 days.
I am glad I was able to keep her to myself for one extra year and Brytlee is very happy that she has been home also. They have become such great little friends and play together so great. Elizabeth is such a sweet girl and is so loving and kind to her sisters. She always wants to make them happy and hates to see them sad. She has such a sweet smile and can make me laugh so easy. I love her so much and I am so proud of her!At the first of the year Elizabeth was going to a different pre-school that she went to last year. She loved it and it was such a great school and when she wanted to go to the other one when it opened I was a little surprised. (but the fact that there was going to be a pool and swimming during pre-school had a lot to do with it....)
Her teacher did such fun things with the class and went on great little field trips.
This is a picture of a field trip they went to a grocery store and learned about the checking process and went to the bakery and tasted a few things and watched how they were made.

New Pet, and trip to IF

The girls have a kitten! They love it and want to play with it 24-7..... the kitten is great with the kids and loves to play with them also. The girls and I have named it Chauncho, but Ryan hates the name so he calls it Bob.
We went to see my family this last weekend for my dad's birthday party, and everyone else who has a birthday in may.

We had a great dinner at Chris's house, and then spent Sunday with my Parents just hanging out, playing on the four wheelers, playing baseball with the girls and other fun games.
The other night I was getting the girls to bed and it was not that great of a night.... I was mad at them, they were not listening to a thing I was saying, and Brytlee would not say in her bed!
So after I got the older girls in their beds I went to check on Brytlee and didn't see her in her bed and thought she went outside to see Ryan working on the house.... I called him and he said she wasn't with him so after I looked around the house for her I found her behind her door asleep. She is being such a stubborn little turkey these day's and is really pushing all of my buttons, but then will turn around when you are so mad her and say, "can I hug you mom"? So just when you want to spank her bum she melts your heart and you have to just give in to what she wants..... (she has me figured out)

Children around the world

Alexis and Ash before the program!
The school had a program today with K-5! Each grade wore a different color and learned a different dance that was from a different country. The second graders all learned a dance from Haiti.
They all sang it's a small world together and did some other dances as a school

At the end they all come out and did sign language to a Indian song that was about Education.
It turned out so cute, and they put a lot of work into putting this together. I don't know why but when I saw so many kids together and singing at the same time I got a little choked up.....

pretty bird

This spring this Killdeer bird laid her eggs on the ground in the middle of some ashes. It is right next to our house and the girls have been waiting for them to hatch for the last month! Two of the eggs hatched as you can see in the picture above and then one day later the third egg hatched and as soon as it did the birds all left the nest.
We couldn't figure out why in the world this bird would lay her eggs on the ground and so close to people. Anytime we went outside the mom would go crazy and pretend like it had a broken wing to keep you away from her eggs. (Very Strange)

Field Trip

I was able to go with Alexis on her field trip to the river bottoms this last week and it was a lot of fun. We were looking for any signs of Animal activity, so we looked for footprints. We found some bear prints, some raccoon prints, and some bird prints. We made casting molds of the prints and they all turned out great.

We all ate lunch together, it was a little rainy but not bad..... after our lunch the sun shined through and it warmed up.
There were three classes that went together, and Rett's class was one of them. It was a ton of fun to go together.

Alecia also came and helped with the classes.
It was really cool to see all the trees the beavers had chewed down. It was neat to see their marks on the trees. Alexis really loved looking at all of them.... they also found a birds nest in one of the trees which Alexis wanted to climb up to see if there was any eggs in it. So she did and said, "look out, I will do it, I am a professional"! It was really cute!
Alexis and her BFF Ashlynn! They are in the same class this year and it has been great having them together!
The parents didn't get to ride the bus with the kids because all three classes were all on one... I was a little sad because I was looking forward to being on a bus again!... it has been, mmmmm, over 15 yrs I think.

Brytlee's hair cut

I had been getting tired of fighting Brytlee with brushing her hair.... it was a fight every day and she would cry and run away so most day's her hair was looking a little crazy!
So I talked her into getting a hair cut and I was going to just go to her shoulders but she would not stop moving and it just kept getting shorter and shorter..... but I love the way it looks and it is very cute on her.
The picture is of Brytlee and her great little friend that she has so much fun playing with!

I had a birthday shout hooray!

I had a great birthday this year and I am 29..... that sounds sooooooo weird to me...... I am so lucky to have a great husband who has given me the best present in the world, but he couldn't find a bow big enough to go around it... (the house) and he was so great on my birthday and took me out and let me choose anything I wanted to do! I have been wanting to try a Indian restaurant for a very long time and so we did, and we both loved it!!! (it is my new favorite place) We also went to a comedy club and it was great, my face was hurting after it was over!
And I also had a lot of other great family members and friends who made sure I had a great day and were so great to sing to me, bring me gifts, and just wish me a happy birthday! I felt so loved and I am so grateful to have so many people who love me in my life!
Alexis said something really funny when we were talking about birthday's.... She said, "Mom I am so glad that you decided to go to the hospital and get me out of your belly instead of just leaving me in there and letting me die"..... and then she gave me a great big hug.

Alexis took a picture of me getting ready to go on my big birthday date!

the roof!

The shingles on the house are almost done!!!! We are getting closer

Mothers Day

I was helping Alexis with her back-handsprings and we had to take a picture of her hair being so crazy!

Every Mothers day Ryan has bought me a flower to pin on my shirt. I am not a flower person so I have fought him on this and told him in the past that I didn't like them so not to waste money on them. But he still bought me one anyway. This year I really wasn't expecting anything at all and when he came up to me to pin it onto my shirt my heart just melted. He is such a thoughtful person, and I really enjoyed wearing it this time. We had a good day with great weather on Mothers day and I was so glad. We went to Ryan's parents house and had a dinner with the whole family and had a great time and the kids all had a blast. We played outside doing football, and other activities. I was really looking forward to getting a nap this year but it didn't happen. Last year for Mothers day Ryan took the girls to his parents house early while I was able to take a nap and then I went out after. But Ryan didn't think I needed it but "I DID" so just so we don't forget for next year..... Ryan I really would love to have some time alone for a nap next year....."
I am so thankful to be a mother, and to have such a wonderful family. I love my girls with all my heart and love to watch them play and have fun. I also am blessed with a wonderful mother who I wish I could have spent some time with on Mothers day. I have a great mother-in-law who makes it so easy to love her. She is so wonderful and kind, and would do anything for us to help us out.
Alexis and Elizabeth both made me some very cute cards and presents at school and were so excited to give them to me. Elizabeth really wanted to give me mine early but I had to tell her to wait because I wanted to be surprised. They came in first thing that morning and gave them to me and wished me a "Happy Mothers Day". They are such sweet hearts and I love my girls so much!

what happens when kids get a hold of the camera

When kids get a hold of the camera they try and take funny pictures. I don't know why this is but I remember doing the same thing myself when I was little. Although we didn't have digital camera's when I was young so my mom would take the film to get developed and then come home very upset with me and when she would show me the pictures I would know WHY she wasn't happy....
But these pictures the kids took I think are great, there was a few that were of the floor, or the TV and other objects in the house, but they are turning into little photographers.
