I can not believe that I am a mom of a 12 year old…. it is so so crazy to think that my baby can be this old already. It feels just like yesterday that I had this beautiful tiny 6 pound, blonde hair, blue eyed little baby in my arms. Time really does fly when you are having fun. Alexis has such a fun group of friends and they had so much fun together for her birthday. She was spoiled by everyone!!!
I love that she even sings happy birthday to herself. She is taking after me and loves to have a birthday!!!
We took all the birthday party to the pool which was a little crazy in one van…. I was not legal at all but we folded down all the seats but Max's and everyone pilled in. I think we had close to 18 people in the car….
Alexis helped make her own birthday cake and she really wanted to make a soccer field. She put uniforms on all the little bears and everything. She is so creative!
Elizabeth played softball this year and had a lot of fun. She can really hit the ball and caught a couple hits and got them out. She did great and I can see her really getting into it.
My little lou! She is amazing and I love her so much. She can be my best friend in one moment and then you know how it is being a mom, they can turn on you in a second. But even when she is mad if she has a little quiet time and thinks about it she will always come back and say she is sorry and that she loves me. She loves to play games and hang out with friends and family. She has really learned to love "night games" that they would play with our neighbors a lot. Now that the Cordners have moved out, that has changed a little and they don't get to do it as much. We were so sad to have them move and Alexis cried because she misses her best friend Anika so much. It was funny when the Henderson's moved in Adison said, "can I go and play with the new Cordners?"
Jex and Mia came and stayed with us for a week while Brad and Sara went to Mexico on a trip. It was a lot of fun and they were such good kids. Jex is dressed all in black and ready to go out and play night games. I was surprised in what a sweet kid he is. Ryan was going to take Jex with him on the night of Alexis's friend party but Jex just said that he thought he should stay so he could be with his cousin on her birthday. Then later when he realized that girls are boaring, he came and asked me if he could go and play our we. I told him he could and then he looked at me and said, "are you sure she won't think I am a horrible cousin." It was cute.
