My Sweet Little Elizabeth

I can't believe my little Elizabeth is already four years old. I can remember the day she was born as if it were yesterday...
I had so many problems with miscarriages, that I didn't let myself get attached to her while I was pregnant. So as soon as she was born, I felt a huge rush of emotions, feelings, and so much love, that I felt like my heart could explode. I loved her from the very second I saw her, and I never wanted to let her go.
She was such a good sleeper, and could sleep through anything. Alexis was a really loud girl at this time, so it was a good thing she was a deep sleeper....
She also made so many sounds when she slept it would keep us up at nights... She couldn't go a minute without gowning, or grunting, farting and all that cute baby stuff....

Her hair was so long and so crazy that I had to use so much stuff on her hair to get it to lay down. I have some funny pictures of her hair standing straight up. Elizabeth would also grab her hair and pull it as hard as she could and then look at me like I was the one doing it... She would get so mad and couldn't figure out that she was the one doing it. When we had our ultra sound, she was also doing the same thing. It was crazy to watch the video of it after she was born and figure out why her head was going to the side, and why her hand was on the top of her head..... After a while she finally stopped pulling her hair.
As soon as she learned how to smile, it was very rare to see her without one on her face. She was the happiest baby I have ever seen.
We took her to Hawaii with us when she was only three months old, and she was wonderful. She only had one day that it was really windy, and the had a belly full of air from it. After we got her out of the wind, she let the biggest burp out, and then went back to being the perfect little angel!

Her hair started to go blond around five months old. It looked so weird at first because she was so dark to began with.
Happy little girl
We went back and fourth to Florida while Ryan had a job going on there, and we just loved it. We are all beach bums and had so much fun there. We had a great zoo that was so close, and we walked to the beach every day! It was part of our daily routein. (I don't know how to spell that) We would wake up and eat, head to the beach, and play for two hours, and then go home for the girls naps, and then we would go to a playground when they woke up. I loved it there and would love to go back again. We also bought Disney World passes, and would go as much as we could. Both of the girls loved it, and so did I!
Elizabeth has always loved her sister from day one. They are still best of friends and have so much fun together. I loved how if she was ever sad, Alexis could just say hi to her, and she would smile so big, or even start to laugh.
Little beach baby
She loved the beach and would just hang out and play in the sand and usually eat it. She loved the water, and would laugh so hard when she got hit by the waves.
She would not crawl while we were in Florida because all the floors in our place were hard and cold. So she started to just scoot everywhere she went. It looked like a monkey!
She has always loved to dress up!
her first birthday! She was so excited about all her presents, and so cute about everything. I love how excited my girls get about the littlest things.

She was such a drooler. She was also a messy eater. Brytlee didn't get very many hand-me-downs from Elizabeth because she would wear her clothes out or just stain them.
I love my little Elizabeth so much, and I always love to look back and see how the time has flown. I can't say enough great things about her, and can't say just how much I love her.
When she was a baby, I had such a rush of emotions, and so many feelings going through me that I wanted to write a book. I started it, and it turned out to be more of a love book for her. I have kept it and hope that she will read it some day, and know how much I do care about her, and just want her to do what is right, and never get hurt.
I will have to find the book I wrote, and read it again, and maybe even post it... we will see how crazy I sounded....
so to be continued..... (maybe)

Happy Birthday Elizabeth

We had a birthday party for Elizabeth a couple day's early so that we could make sure everyone could make it. She was so excited she could hardly stand it. I was so glad she had preschool because waiting at home was so hard for her. She kept asking every minute when people were going to show up for her party. She wanted a castle for her cake, and I did my best..... It looked good for a couple of hours, and then after a few bumps and pokes from the girls, it cracked, and started to fall apart.
I let the girls help me do a lot of the decorating, and we are not the best at frosting, so we use candy on our cakes...
Elizabeth loved it and that is all that matters... right

Blow out the candles.... she has four of them now. That is so crazy that she is getting so big.
Elizabeth did a fashion show of all the cute clothes that she got from her Grandma Judy. She was doing the twirls and so happy to put them on for us to see how cute they looked on her.

She was so happy to get a tea set. I have never bought one because they have to have real water or juice in them, and can't pretend like there is stuff in them, so it is a little messy, but she has really been wanting one... so our friend Stephanie and her girls found this one for her. She got a ton of great presents and was so excited about them all. She was very spoiled!
We also had a fish to smack around and get candy and little goodies from. The kids all took a turn, and then Ryan broke it open for them.

I'm Gonna be a Soccer Player

Alexis had her first soccer game this last weekend, and she did very well. Ryan was not able to make it because it was on a Friday night, and he has to be at the football field early for the games. She was really excited, and they only have 8 players so she stayed in for most of the game, and ran around like crazy!
At one point in the game the whole team was so tired that only three of the kids wanted to play and the rest were all laying down.... it was funny.
They all did really good, Alexis came so close to scoring a goal twice, but they were just a little to far to the side.... The team didn't score any goals, and they lost 3 to 0.
After the Soccer game we went over to the football game. The girls love to go and watch, and have so much fun with all of their friends that go to the games. Our team also lost this night, but it was a very close game.

I am a child of God

Elizabeth was in the bath this morning singing "I am a child of God" and she was singing at the end, "to live with fish some day" and I told her that wasn't how it goes, it is "to live with HIM some day". And I told her that HIM meant our Heavenly Father. And she sat and thought about it for a sec. and then said, "Oh... I want to live with fish". It is hard not to laugh about something so cute. She is such a funny girl!

First day of Pretty School

Elizabeth had her first day of Preschool yesterday.... (she calls it pretty school, and so did Alexis at this age)
She was in heaven, and didn't ever want to leave! She has been ready to go for such a long time, and I think she will do great!
Elizabeth and Alexis are so different! As soon as we pulled up to the house, she jumped up, and said "bye mom" and then I was on her way. I still have to walk Alexis into her class every day, and she has a hard time telling me goodbye, and letting me leave.

As soon as she saw her teacher she ran up to her and gave her a big huge, and started talking her ear off.
I had a hard time leaving, and she just wanted me to leave so she could play and make some friends.
I also had the busiest schedule this day.... I had to drop her of at preschool, and then pick Alexis up from her school, then drive back out and pick up Liz, and take Alexis to her Cheer class, and then go home, and fed kids, go back and pick Alexis up, and take her straight to her soccer practice, and that went for and hour then go home, and find something to make for dinner. And I also mowed the lawn and cleaned the house somewhere between all of that......
Crazy day!

Pass the nuggets

I have been such a bad cook lately, and feel like I have not had the time to make a nice meal this whole summer. I have loved the grill, and can throw something on it last minute. Ryan has been gone a lot and when he isn't home, I really don't like to cook. So we have had chicken nuggets for the last few dinners, and my girls are in heaven. I have not bought them sense Alexis was Brytlee's age because she always wanted them, and turned into the worst eater. But I hope this time it won't affect the kids that way.
Yummmmmmmmy
She pulls this face every once and a while, and I am so glad I caught it on camera.
We have also had corn out of our garden almost every single night, and I am loving it! It is the best corn in the world and I can eat so much of it, and still want more! There is nothing like fresh corn on the cob!

Silly girl

This is such a cute picture of Brytlee. She loves to ride on this little horse, or her little rocking Elephant. This little horse is a gift that my dad made for me when I was turning 5 (I think) (I can't remember how old I was) but he made it, and I love it. I brought it home last summer and painted it and did a couple touch ups on it, and my girls love it. Elizabeth has been saying she is a cowgirl for the past week, and has been roping it, and pulling it all over the house.

She was being such a silly girl the other day and kept pressing her face up against the screen. I love it when she does this, and she will also do this to our shower door.

Brytlee is growing up so fast, and is starting to look more and more like a little girl than a baby. It is so sad!

Lollipop, Lollipop

I had bought these lollipops for this past Easter, but some how forgot all about them. And when I was cleaning out the closet the other day I found them, and gave them to the girls. You would have thought it was the best thing in the whole world!

Oh, I love my Lollipop!
And then they tried them.... and Alexis said..."they taste kinda funky mom" So now we have to huge lollipops that they won't ever eat.
I had to take Alexis to the Orthodontist the other day because she has had some really bad crowding on her bottom teeth, so they did a ex ray, and the poor little girl has no room in her little mouth for all these big teeth that are trying to come in. So the doctor had to pull two teeth, and she had no shots or drugs, and she didn't even cry. It hurt my stomach to watch him do it because he was pulling and twisting her tooth, and it looked, and sounded so painful!
She has to go in and get two more pulled this next week, but he wanted her to go to a Dentist so he could numb it a little. He thinks the next two are going to be even worse, so I am going to make Ryan come with us. It is so hard to watch her being put through something you know is going to hurt her.
I was so proud of what a big girl she was, and she didn't even move or cry getting her teeth pulled, when I could tell she wanted to scream and run away... The tooth fairy even came that night and left her $4.oo. She was very happy about that. (our tooth fairy usually really sucks, so I am really glad she remembered this time.....)

Family Pictures

We have our family pictures taken once a year, and we try to do it close to our Anniversary so it is around the same time every year. I am not as happy about them this year, but I am not going in for retakes. It is hard enough to have everyone ready including myself once a year. I love Elizabeth in this one. She was practicing her smile in the car on the way, and it was even bigger than this smile.

This picture makes her look so big to me, and it made me kind of sad. Because she is getting older, and I wish she would just stay little forever.

I love Alexis in this one. It shows how sweet, and cuddly she is. Brytlee was not going to smile for anything, and so we will have to work on her for next year. And I look like I have bug eye's or something, and this picture makes me want to cut my hair really bad. It looks so stringy and flat.
