The rest of the story

I feel really bad! I didn't mean to make Ryan sound like a bad dad in any way, and if any of you though that... you are so wrong! He is the best dad in the world, and takes such great care of our kids. There is no one else that I would want for my girls father, and they love him so much! There is always two sides to the story, mine was I was in the shower, and ready to run around naked in a hotel searching for Elizabeth, and this is Ryan's....

OK, let me set the story straight since Jill made me sound like a bad father. The girls and I just finished swimming and I was putting towels on them and drying them off. Lizzy happened to be first so while Lex and I were getting towels Lizzy starts walking to the elevator, then all of a sudden she just takes off running around the corner. So Lex and I hurry to catch her(it wasn't very far) and find she has completely vanished. In so short of a distance the only thing that we can conclude is that she went in the elevator and it closed on her. Come to find out Jill's parents we just around the corner and that is why Lizzy started running, they were just walking into the other door going to the pool, so we just missed seeing them as we panicked thinking Liz went into the Elevator. So that, as you would say, is the rest of the story.

Park City

This last weekend our little family made a trip to Park City to stay with my parents in a Condo they had. It was so much fun! We were able to see my friend Shalee the first night we got there. It was great to see her, and hang out .
Shalee is so great with kids, and they all just love her!

We took a ride up the mountain and it was so beautiful. I can't remember what Mountain it was or how high we were, but it was so cool! We saw lots of little water falls and got up to where there was still snow. The view was beautiful!
We stopped for a while to pick flowers and the girls loved it!
I thought this was so cute! My dad is giving Brytlee a flower.
I was so sad because my camera ran out of batteries at this point, and there was so many other pictures I would have loved to have taken.
After our ride we went swimming and had a ton of fun! The girls are getting so good at swimming, and have so much fun doing it.
After Brytlee and I were done swimming we went up to our room to get a shower while Ryan and the girls stayed at the pool a little longer. While I was in the shower, Ryan ran in and said that Elizabeth walked off and he couldn't find her.... He thought she had gotten on the elevator and so she could be anywhere.... so I jump out of the shower, and call the front desk and let them know that we had lost a little girl, and run into the hall in a towel ready to go running around like crazy when I see her walking with my parents..... She saw them at the pool, and decided to go with them... It was so scary and Alexis was really freaked out. She told Ryan while they were looking for her, "Dad I don't want to lose her, I really like her"! And then she told me, "I was so scared I was just about to cry". So cute!
After all that, we went to a little fun park that had a carousel, and some other fun rides for the girls to go on.
Alexis and Elizabeth really loved it when we found the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and bought them there own Carmel apple! They were in heaven!
After the girls went to bed each night, we would stay up late playing cards with my parents, and talking! They are so much fun, and love to hang out and play games! I just love the so much, and loved every minute of this trip with them!
The next day we had another scary thing happen to the girls. While we were getting ready to leave, we went to the elevators. One opened so the girls jump in while a kid is pushing a cart, and blocks the doorway so we can't get in.... the doors close and we couldn't get to them. So the start screaming as loud as they could, and I jump on the stairs and run all the way to the bottom. Ryan said he could hear them all the way to the Lobby from where he was at.
Ryan had a football game that he had to go to. I was planning on watching the game until Ryan's brother Chase called us and said he has free tickets to Lagoon! So we couldn't pass that up!
I took all three girls by myself to Lagoon... with no stroller..... it was so much work, and it was so hot and crowded. But the girls had a blast, and they were free tickets! I really wish I would have had my camera working, Brytlee was able to go on most of the rides and was so fun to watch.
The girls were really mad at me because we didn't end up going swimming.... the wait just to get into the pools was over an hour, so we packed up at 6 and went home. We were all very tired!
Thanks mom and dad for a great weekend!!!! I love you

Happy Fathers Day

I hope all the dads had a great Fathers day. I think Ryan had a good day? The girls and I gave him a bike, so we can go on family bike rides together now! Yea!!!
We went on our first one on Fathers day, and it ended up with Alexis eating the road... it was so sad, and scary. We were going down a hill that was very long and she was going to fast, and so she slammed on her brakes... and then she flew over her handle bars. The poor girl, not only does she have a black eye, but now road rash. She is alright, no trips to the hospital, just a few band-aids and kisses.
I didn't get to see my Dad on Fathers day which was very sad, but I am going to see him this weekend! (that makes me feel much better). He is such a great guy, and is such a great example to me. I love him so much and love to be around him. He has such a inviting personality and always makes you feel like you are so important, and is always trying to make you feel comfortable by make you a milkshake, getting you a snack, put a good movie on for us or the girls, making popcorn, babysit, or if he knows you are going to visit, he will buy all your favorite snacks, and drinks just for you. He is always thinking about others, and is one of the most giving people in the world. He is really the number one dad!!!
I am also lucky to have married someone that is very much like my dad. He is such a great father to our girls, and I just love him more and more every day! I feel so lucky to have so many great men in my life. Because not only do I have the best dad, and husband, but also have a wonderful father in law, that I just think the world of also.
He is a lot like my dad, and is so sweet. He has helped us out so much with our house, and with any project we are working on, and always has time to play with our kids, or help babysit. I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful Father in Law, and love him so much!
Happy fathers day And Thank you so much Dads! I love you

Panda Movie

Ryan has wanted to take Alexis on a date for the past couple of weeks, and I just told him, he could talk us all on a date...(all but Brytlee) So we went and saw the Kung Fu Panda! I loved it and my kids loved it. We all give it two thumbs way up!
Dad and Alexis. Ryan is so Handsome
Mom and Elizabeth
I have been practicing my smiles and funny faces!

Black eye

Alexis got her first black eye... I feel really bad because we went to a park and were playing when she ran into a pole.... It was padded, so I just told her she would be fine, and to just keep playing. Then the next time I saw her come up to me, it was really swollen... I felt bad, and should have cuddled her and comforted her more. But really, she ran into a pole? I had to ask her if it jumped out in front of her?

day number three, it is starting to get darker. (can anyones kids close their eyes without opening their mouths with out telling them not to?)
One of my favorite rooms in our house is my girls rooms. I have had so much fun putting it together, and putting in all the cute finishing touches. I love the dragon fly, and butterfly's hanging from the sealing, and the color, and the bed spread!

I also love this rug!
They have a double sink, and a bathroom, that is painted like the ocean, and has nemo, dude crush, in there.

3 Joys

1. My Husband! He has been at football camp all week, and I have been so lost without him. It made me realize how much I love to have him home with us. It is such a great feeling when he comes home from work. The kids always act better when he gets home, and the day just brightens when he is home.
2. My children! They are always on the go, and always making me laugh. The times in my life, that I have felt the happiest, is when I sit back and watch them play, It is such a great feeling when all three of them are getting along, and no one is fighting.
3. My family! I love to be around my family, and I wish that I could live by them all. They are such a great family, and are more than willing to help each of us out. They are all great to hang out, talk and laugh. I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful family.

BFF

Our girls have some great friends that they could play with for days and days and have so much fun. The Marlow's moved here almost two years ago, and we all clicked right away. I am so glad they are here because not only do my girls have great friends, but Ryan and I do as well. This is the girls hanging out in the tree house.

Make a funny face....
Ella and Brytlee rockin out in the Cadillac! The music was playing and they were dancing in the car. It was so cute.

So cute
Sisters are so great.... sometimes?
This picture is funny because you can see that Elizabeth is built a little different than Alexis. They share the same clothes, and were the same size of shoes. I think that soon, Elizabeth will pass Alexis in hight also. She is already above her in weight, and it isn't that Elizabeth is heavy, I think Alexis is just super small. (just look at the different's in their arms...)

nigh, night

A couple of nights ago I had the freakiest thing happen, and I can't get it out of my head. Brytlee started to cry about 5:00 a.m. and I am the mean mom, that if my kids are not sick, I will let them cry themselves back to sleep. She only cried for less than a minute, But this night I thought I needed to go and see her. So when I got to her door, I couldn't really hear anything, but I opened the door and went in, and just about jumped out of my skin. She was inside her pillow case, and then twisted up in her pillow.... (the pillow was completely around her) the only thing I could see was her legs kicking like crazy! She was very stuck in it, and I have no idea how she did it.
I am so thankful for the feeling that I had to tell me to go and check on her. If I didn't, I really don't know what would have happened.
I am never going to put pillows cases in her bed, and am thinking of putting zippers on all of my other girls pillows.
I couldn't sleep after that happened, and the next morning I couldn't wait to hold her in my arms. I love my kids so much, and don't know what I would do with out them.

Alexis's 6th Birthday

Alexis is now six years old! She had a birthday party with her cousin Conner the day before her birthday at the swimming pool. It was a great day for her and she was very spoiled. She got the cute outfit she has on from Grandma Merrill, and she wants to wear it every day.
We had another party for her when we got home at Ryan's parents house.
She is so excited, can you tell?
She loves Strawberry Shortcake, so we made her hat for her birthday cake!
She helped me make the cake, and was a great little helper!
Time for the birthday song
We always take a bite out of the cake after we blow out the candles.
Yummy

We had a fish pinyhata, and it was great. Instead of breaking the whole thing open, the mouth came open, and every time you hit, candy would come out of the mouth. So each kid took a turn and whatever candy came out, they kept.

Alexis got these for her birthday, and Brytlee loved them. She has worn them around all morning today.
The Pinyata (I don't know how to spell pinyata and, spell check didn't either....
