Park City

This last weekend our little family made a trip to Park City to stay with my parents in a Condo they had. It was so much fun! We were able to see my friend Shalee the first night we got there. It was great to see her, and hang out .
Shalee is so great with kids, and they all just love her!

We took a ride up the mountain and it was so beautiful. I can't remember what Mountain it was or how high we were, but it was so cool! We saw lots of little water falls and got up to where there was still snow. The view was beautiful!
We stopped for a while to pick flowers and the girls loved it!
I thought this was so cute! My dad is giving Brytlee a flower.
I was so sad because my camera ran out of batteries at this point, and there was so many other pictures I would have loved to have taken.
After our ride we went swimming and had a ton of fun! The girls are getting so good at swimming, and have so much fun doing it.
After Brytlee and I were done swimming we went up to our room to get a shower while Ryan and the girls stayed at the pool a little longer. While I was in the shower, Ryan ran in and said that Elizabeth walked off and he couldn't find her.... He thought she had gotten on the elevator and so she could be anywhere.... so I jump out of the shower, and call the front desk and let them know that we had lost a little girl, and run into the hall in a towel ready to go running around like crazy when I see her walking with my parents..... She saw them at the pool, and decided to go with them... It was so scary and Alexis was really freaked out. She told Ryan while they were looking for her, "Dad I don't want to lose her, I really like her"! And then she told me, "I was so scared I was just about to cry". So cute!
After all that, we went to a little fun park that had a carousel, and some other fun rides for the girls to go on.
Alexis and Elizabeth really loved it when we found the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and bought them there own Carmel apple! They were in heaven!
After the girls went to bed each night, we would stay up late playing cards with my parents, and talking! They are so much fun, and love to hang out and play games! I just love the so much, and loved every minute of this trip with them!
The next day we had another scary thing happen to the girls. While we were getting ready to leave, we went to the elevators. One opened so the girls jump in while a kid is pushing a cart, and blocks the doorway so we can't get in.... the doors close and we couldn't get to them. So the start screaming as loud as they could, and I jump on the stairs and run all the way to the bottom. Ryan said he could hear them all the way to the Lobby from where he was at.
Ryan had a football game that he had to go to. I was planning on watching the game until Ryan's brother Chase called us and said he has free tickets to Lagoon! So we couldn't pass that up!
I took all three girls by myself to Lagoon... with no stroller..... it was so much work, and it was so hot and crowded. But the girls had a blast, and they were free tickets! I really wish I would have had my camera working, Brytlee was able to go on most of the rides and was so fun to watch.
The girls were really mad at me because we didn't end up going swimming.... the wait just to get into the pools was over an hour, so we packed up at 6 and went home. We were all very tired!
Thanks mom and dad for a great weekend!!!! I love you

Gotta love vacation!! It was great to hear from you. Your family is so cute and you are still as pretty as ever. It looks like you get to see your family lots, that's so great. Thanks for the track memory. I don't remember that one, but I'm sure it happened. I was looking at a photo album the other day and there's pictures of us with cheetos all over our teeth. Crazy

Sounds like a fun trip Jill, with a couple scares. I'm sure there isn't a worse feeling then not knowing where your child is! So glad everyone was ok. Shalee looks seriously young in these pictures with her headband and braces!! :) You both look beautiful, and so fun that you could see eachother!

So much fun! What a rush of emotions probably went through you when you couldn't find your sweet girl! Way to go taking all the girlies to Lagoon by yourself. What a trooper! It's funny too seeing you and Shalee's photo I haven't seen either of you in over 10 years so you both look exactly as I remember!...super cute! Always fun to go on vaca and catch up with old friends!

ps I just figued out how to scan in all my old pics! I know I'm slow. But, excited to scrap them now!

You really are brave, I go nowhere without my stroller! And I couldn't think of anything scarier than loosing track of one of my girls! That is why I can't bring myself to have three yet. I can hardly keep up with two! Cort's right - Shalee looks exactly the same! You guys could be mistaken for a couple of cute high-school chicks!

the first thing when I pulled up your blog I saw Shalee and totally recognized her. She looks great!

And the one thing thats a funny story about Shalee even though it doesn't really have anything to do with her is that when I first moved to Utah and would meet people for the first time I would tell them my name was Shalee instead of Shellie. I thought Shalee was so much cuter than Shellie. I am such a dork :)

Oh and I LOVE Park City! I am so envious!

How fun! At first when I pulled up your blog, the only pics were of you and Shalee... :) I hadn't seen her with braces yet (only heard about it) so I busted up laughing. You both look so pretty! I wish we all could've been there. And I felt so bad about Alexis's eye! Your comment about it running out in front of her made me laugh. Poor little girl. I am so nervous that is going to happen to me sometimes. Love you!

OK, let me set the story straight since Jill made me sound like a bad father. The girls and I just finished swimming and I was putting towels on them and drying them off. Lizzy happened to be first so while Lex and I were getting towels Lizzy starts walking to the elevator, then all of a sudden she just takes off running around the corner. So Lex and I hurry to catch her(it wasn't very far) and find she has completely vanished. In so short of a distance the only thing that we can conclude is that she went in the elevator and it closed on her. Come to find out Jill's parents we just around the corner and that is why Lizzy started running, they were just walking into the other door going to the pool, so we just missed seeing them as we panicked thinking Liz went into the Elevator. So that, as you would say, is the rest of the story. Thanks Jill, for the portrayal of me being a bad father that doesn't watch the kids.
