crack me up

Brytlee is the funniest kid. She is always making Ryan and I laugh. I needed to write down a couple of things that she has said before I forget.
The other night we were saying prayers and this is what Brytlee said in her prayer.
Please bless that lady that had a thing in her nose that she will not do that and will choose the right, and please bless all the robbers and bad guys that they will die..... I am not sure what was after that because I was just trying not to laugh out loud......
We have been talking about ways that the girls can earn money to go to Disney world. And Alexis was saying she could do a lemonade stand, and we could pick worms and
Brytlee says, "oh, I can sell my P ducky and get some money"
I asked her, "what is a P ducky?"
then she said, "you know the duckys that you squeeze and pee comes out."
Another thing that was funny was.... my sister and I were walking in a parking lot and Brytlee was with us and she picked up a tube of chap stick. I told her that we shouldn't pick things like that up and we should never use them. (why is what she said) so I said, "well, we don't know what people have been doing with them. What if they used it for a sore bum or something really gross....." Then she thew it and was really grossed out and my sister and I laughed....
Later we were in a hotel room and there was a door inside the room that lead to another room and it was locked. Brytlee asked "why can't we go into that room?" so I told her that someone else could be in that room. Then she said, "Ohhhhhhhhhh, they are probably putting chap stick on their bums."
That girl is always thinking and doesn't forget anything you tell her........

blah

I am having a day where I feel like I am the worst mom in the world. We had a great Easter and everything so it isn't that. I am sitting here listening to my kids while they are trying to sleep. Brytlee is coughing out a lunge it sounds like and right before bed she asked me to put vicks on her and I said, "why.... you don't have a cough?"
And a couple days ago she told me her belly hurt so I told her she needed to eat something or go potty. Then about half a hour later as we were at a yard sale she opened the door to the car and started to barf....
Adison is in her crib whimpering and making sad little sounds because she has been sick as a dog today and does not feel well at all...... her temp earlier today was 103.6 and it is a Sunday and we were out of infant Tylenol. I was in luck and had a friend that had some on hand and she let us have some. It helped alot and brought her temp down. I am not sure if I go and check on her or just keep letting her sleep through it...... I hate not knowing if they are ok or wondering if there is something really wrong with them. I keep having so many what if's running through my head and wondering if I need to take her to the ER because it could be something serious.
Sometimes being a mom is just crazy. I know that when I pictured this job I never once thought about being thrown up on like crazy twice in one day..... or not being able to sleep.... and never being able to put makeup on or do your hair...... or not even being able to put pants on because you can't put your kid down.
It is so crazy how much you worry and care for your kids when you are a parent. I am so in love with these little tiny humans it is just not possible to even describe the way I feel. Even though today was one of the worst days that Adison has ever had, it was so nice to hold her and cuddle her and be the one that she wanted to make her feel better. She slept in my arms for most of the day and I really enjoyed watching her sleep and rubbing her back. She looked so peaceful while she slept and being able to hold her like that made her feel like my little baby again. It really isn't fair how fast she is growing up.
A couple of times today Adison really wanted to eat and she would look at me and say, mmmmm, and how can you not give a girl whatever she wants when she looks and sounds so cute. That is how Adison asks for food whenever she wants something. MMMmmmmMMMM (the big m's are low pitch and the small m's are high pitch).
Another reason I am feeling like a bad mom...... Alexis got into trouble today..... for a punishment I took away her giant jawbreaker sucker that she got for Easter and loved so much. I told her that if she wanted it back she would have to earn it. Then I just put it in the pocket of my robe and forgot all about it. So later on in the day when Adison barfed all over me I didn't even think about it when I threw the robe in the washer....... with the sucker in the pocket.... and the phone...... dang it!!!!!
Alexis is heartbroken and now I need to call the Easter bunny and find out where he found those suckers...... but fist I might need a new phone.....

Crazy hair day

Brytlee had crazy hair day at pre school last week and she was so excited to have her hair colored purple.

She looks like one of the old Troll dolls.... so funny. She had a great day at school, but came home with her hair down. For some reason she takes her hair out when she is at school. Don't know what to do about that.

Birthday blanket

My mom made this amazing quilt and I think it is the cutest thing ever! Adison was very lucky and my mom gave it to her for her birthday

It looks so cute in Elizabeth's room that I think I will keep it on her bed until Adison is ready for a big girl bed.
Adison is in love with this little "kitty" as she calls it. She picks it up and takes it all over the house, and she snuggles with it and will wrestle with it. She is so funny

Happy birthday Adison

I still think there is nooooo way that my baby is one..... but sadly it is true. Adison had her first birthday and it was so much fun. She is such a funny little baby and everything that she does is so cute, and so fun to watch.
I think that this cake is by far the ugliest cake that I have ever made.... and I am so sorry that it had to be your very first birthday cake Adi...... I thought it would be fun to have it be a clover because her birthday is on St. Patrick day. Well..... maybe I should learn how to draw a clover the next time I think about that idea......
This cake made me so mad...... I was really ready to throw it away and just make a normal one but I ran out of time so this is what we had

Adison didn't really know what to think about her candle but she did end up blowing it out all by herself one time. (can you tell she had her hands in the cake a few times. she kept saying, "mmmmm"
Adison loved opening her presents and was so funny to watch. She made some of the cutest sounds when she was doing it. (ohhhh, mmmmmhhh, and a deep breath like she was really excited sound)
I think her favorite gift was this little wand that Brytlee got for her. She was a little wild with it as you can tell in this picture. (as grandpa gets hit in the face with it) But she loved it
This is one of my favorite things to see this little girl do. She loves to look at books and talk to them in her own little language. But reading to her is a whole other story. She will not hold still for two second and has to hold the book so it is a little crazy trying to read words as they are moving all over the place.

This is on of Adison's favorite things to do during the day. She loves to open up the doors in the kitchen and pull everything out. How could you ever get mad at that cute little face..... so I let her do it.
this is right after she woke up in the morning. We sang happy birthday to her and had her open presents first thing and she was sooooooooo excited and so happy.
Love this little smile

After she would open something she would walk over to dad and show him what she had.

I just love this stage that Adison is in, she is so fun to watch and she is learning so much and it feels like everyday she is doing something new and I just don't want to miss out on anything.
the other day I walked in and Adison was cuddling with Ryan.... (Adison is not a cuddlier) I asked him how he got her did that. so this is what he showed me....

first you do this.

then you do this.....
and then you can get her to cuddle you for a few seconds. I had to laugh because that is about how long it lasts. I don't know why in the world our kids do not like to cuddle when they are babies but I sure do love it when they will..... even if it is for seconds at a time.
Adison has just grown up in the blink of an eye. I have enjoyed her so much and she just makes me so happy.
She is so busy and loves to play with the girls. She LOVES the outside and wants to be outside all the time. As soon as she hears the door open or close she makes a run for it. Her favorite thing about our back door is the Kitty. she can say "kitty kitty kitty" and it is so cute. She also loves to see the chickens and will talk a hundred miles a hour to them while she points at them.
Adison has really started to love playing with baby dolls. She will rock them back and forth and pat them on their backs and is so cute with them. She has started to talk more and I am sure it is only in a language that I can understand right now, but she can say thank you but it sounds like "tank two" and she says a lot more but I can't think of them right now. When she wants to eat she says "mmmmm" and if she sees you eating something she wants she makes the same sound or just screams. Her scream is so high pitch and loud sometimes I wonder if it could break glass, but it is just her way of telling you what she wants and she does it with a smile on her face.
She still takes two naps a day on most days but some days she just wants to play in her crib. When I walk in to get her out of her crib she starts to jump and says "jump jump jump"
We are all so in love with this little girl and I am so thankful that she is in our family. I love my family so much and they make me feel so blessed at times and don't know how on earth I could ever deserve so much.

Fort Harris

The girls have been so funny the past month. I think they are getting cabin fever and are ready to be outside a little. I know I am really getting sick of the weather and would love to have some nice weather so we could play outside.....
Alexis has always LOVED building little forts and tents. I thought they were so creative with the past couple I had to get pictures of them so I could remember forever. This one they built in the basement on the ping pong table and they put the mats under it and all the bedding they would need to have a camp out. They all slept down in the fort for three nights in a row and loved it.
These pictures are out of order but I went down one of the mornings to get a few pictures of them sleeping the one above is them just getting woke up by the camera's flash, and the one below is while they were still asleep.

Brytlee woke up before them so she was already all primped and ready for the day.
This fort they had a ton of fun in also. They had a maze you had to crawl through and they also slept in this one for two days in a row.
Alexis and her cool sucker. It started out as a HUGE round ball and she worked so hard until it looked like a top.
I couldn't even get the whole thing in the picture......
I think it is so fun when they put so much work into something like this. They can all be so creative and have so much fun together and then when it starts to fall apart and make them mad it is time to clean it all up......

Elizabeth

A couple of weeks ago Elizabeth walked the halls and was given this award for reading over 200 books. She is such a great little reader and is starting to read chapter books and really enjoy reading. She still loves having us read to her and would let us read to her all day long. She has always loved it when someone will do that for her.
The school always makes a big deal for the kids when they reach the goal of 200 books. I think it is so cute.
Elizabeth with the Principal

I got a couple of pictures of her walking the halls and all the kids come out of the classrooms and cheer for them and give them five. I am so sad that the picture below is a little blurry but she still looks so cute.
Ryan's parents and sister were able to come and cheer for Elizabeth also and that made her day.

Elizabeth is loving school this year and is doing so well. She is such a smart little girl and has been so much fun to work with, and I love how willing she is to learn and how easy she makes it. Elizabeth loves math and is so smart with numbers. ( She is for sure taking after her dad)
Elizabeth is getting all A's in class and her reading level has always been above average. I love when she comes home she has already done most of her homework on the bus or at school so it only takes her 10 minutes at home to get all her homework done. I am so proud of how fast she is learning everything, and how she does her best at all she is doing.

Elizabeth has always been the most friendly girl ever. I love that when we go to the park or somewhere like that, she will go up to other kids and make friends right away. She also will remember that friends name and the next time she sees them she gives them a big hug. She tries to pretend she is shy every once and a while, but when she gets warmed up she is not shy at all.

It is so funny to me that Elizabeth is so tall. She is so close to catching up to Alexis and they can wear the same size in almost everything. I was always on the back row in all my school pictures and it looks like Elizabeth will be the same.
I cropped this out of her group pictures. I can not believe how grown up she is starting to look.....
I really am starting to feel like time is really going so fast. The school days are so long and I feel like most day's I don't really get to spend much time with the girls. I am so excited for this summer and being able to be together a lot more. I know some moms love having their kids go to school and get out of the house but I really love having mine home. They do fight and do things that make me crazy, but for the most part they are so helpful and so fun to watch play. They have gotten so great at doing chores and know that they have to do it before they can do any playing. I really love the ages of my girls right now because they are such a HUGE help to me and can do so much.
Elizabeth is such a sweetheart and can be so great to her sisters. I get mad at her sometimes for being tooooo nice..... whenever she has something that the others want she will give it to them, even when it is a birthday present or something she didn't even get to use herself. (that is when I get mad..... I feel like she needs to keep the things that were given to her on special days) but she loves to make other happy and just have someone to play with. Like I said, I am so proud of Elizabeth and I love her so much.
