Happy birthday Adison

I still think there is nooooo way that my baby is one..... but sadly it is true. Adison had her first birthday and it was so much fun. She is such a funny little baby and everything that she does is so cute, and so fun to watch.
I think that this cake is by far the ugliest cake that I have ever made.... and I am so sorry that it had to be your very first birthday cake Adi...... I thought it would be fun to have it be a clover because her birthday is on St. Patrick day. Well..... maybe I should learn how to draw a clover the next time I think about that idea......
This cake made me so mad...... I was really ready to throw it away and just make a normal one but I ran out of time so this is what we had

Adison didn't really know what to think about her candle but she did end up blowing it out all by herself one time. (can you tell she had her hands in the cake a few times. she kept saying, "mmmmm"
Adison loved opening her presents and was so funny to watch. She made some of the cutest sounds when she was doing it. (ohhhh, mmmmmhhh, and a deep breath like she was really excited sound)
I think her favorite gift was this little wand that Brytlee got for her. She was a little wild with it as you can tell in this picture. (as grandpa gets hit in the face with it) But she loved it
This is one of my favorite things to see this little girl do. She loves to look at books and talk to them in her own little language. But reading to her is a whole other story. She will not hold still for two second and has to hold the book so it is a little crazy trying to read words as they are moving all over the place.



This is on of Adison's favorite things to do during the day. She loves to open up the doors in the kitchen and pull everything out. How could you ever get mad at that cute little face..... so I let her do it.
this is right after she woke up in the morning. We sang happy birthday to her and had her open presents first thing and she was sooooooooo excited and so happy.

After she would open something she would walk over to dad and show him what she had.








I just love this stage that Adison is in, she is so fun to watch and she is learning so much and it feels like everyday she is doing something new and I just don't want to miss out on anything.
the other day I walked in and Adison was cuddling with Ryan.... (Adison is not a cuddlier) I asked him how he got her did that. so this is what he showed me....

and then you can get her to cuddle you for a few seconds. I had to laugh because that is about how long it lasts. I don't know why in the world our kids do not like to cuddle when they are babies but I sure do love it when they will..... even if it is for seconds at a time.
Adison has just grown up in the blink of an eye. I have enjoyed her so much and she just makes me so happy.
She is so busy and loves to play with the girls. She LOVES the outside and wants to be outside all the time. As soon as she hears the door open or close she makes a run for it. Her favorite thing about our back door is the Kitty. she can say "kitty kitty kitty" and it is so cute. She also loves to see the chickens and will talk a hundred miles a hour to them while she points at them.
Adison has really started to love playing with baby dolls. She will rock them back and forth and pat them on their backs and is so cute with them. She has started to talk more and I am sure it is only in a language that I can understand right now, but she can say thank you but it sounds like "tank two" and she says a lot more but I can't think of them right now. When she wants to eat she says "mmmmm" and if she sees you eating something she wants she makes the same sound or just screams. Her scream is so high pitch and loud sometimes I wonder if it could break glass, but it is just her way of telling you what she wants and she does it with a smile on her face.
She still takes two naps a day on most days but some days she just wants to play in her crib. When I walk in to get her out of her crib she starts to jump and says "jump jump jump"
We are all so in love with this little girl and I am so thankful that she is in our family. I love my family so much and they make me feel so blessed at times and don't know how on earth I could ever deserve so much.
