Happy Birthday Ryan

Ryan had a birthday! He is one year older, and wiser and handsome too...

The kids all loved the frosting on the cake!

fireworks

Sara invited us to the Melaleuca party for the fireworks, and it was so nice! We had a really yummy dinner, and all sorts of deserts and ice cream bars. They also had a program with live music, and then the fireworks! They get better and better every year, and it is so much fun to watch them with my girls!

We almost had our whole family there. Greg and Jackie were not able to make it. Cindy is six months pregnant and is just starting to show a little . She looks so cute!Alexis and her cousin Conner. They play together so good. On Saturday night Alexis was able to spend the night at his house, they were in a room that has two twin beds, and when they went to sleep they were in there own beds, but latter when we checked on them, they were cuddled up together in the same bed! It was so cute!

Parade

We went to my hometown for the fourth this year, and had a ton of fun. We started of the day with a parade, and lots of candy!
We ran into our cousins and it was fun to hang out by them, and talk. This is Shanna, we are only seven day's apart, and were best friends all growing up. We always have so much fun together, and would take turns staying at each others houses in the summers. (they live in Montana, so I would fight to stay with her all the time!)
this is Shanna's sister Shara, and my sister Annette, they were also best friends!
This is my sister in law Sara! I cut her hair before we went to the parade, and she looks so so cute!

Summer fun

We have been having lots of fun outside! I am loving the weather, and so glad that it is summer! Brytlee is such a cute little girl, and I just thought these pictures were so cute of her!

I did her hair in pig tails, and put some new bows in that we got from the fair.
I love her eyes!
Elizabeth and Brytlee are the only ones that are not afraid of getting cold! They love to get into the water and swim (sort of) you can't really call it swimming if you are walking on your hands....
We went to Grandma and Grandpa house yesterday, and had so much fun! I took the girls on a four wheeler ride, and we stopped at a smelly cow farm and I let them pet the baby cows, and we played with the cousins and had a really good time. But when it was time to go, Alexis was acting like a pill, and wasn't listening to me at all. Ryan had to stay and help his dad do some work, and so she wanted to stay with him. I had to tell her no, and so the whole way home she wouldn't talk to me, and then as soon as we got into the house she started to draw.....
Then she came up to me with a sad look on her face and handed me the picture above!
She told me that the big one is me, and I am mad and mean, and the little one is her and I am making her cry and sad.
I thought it was funny, and we had a talk, and made up!
We went to a fun little fair thingy in the park this weekend, and it had the huge blow up slide, and bouncers. My girls loved the slide, and went down more than I could keep track of. I even went down with Brytlee a couple of times, and it was a lot of fun.

Brytlee loved the bouncer and the little boy working at it was in love with her. He would run around playing peak a boo, and when the time would run out he would kick all the other kids out, and I would try to get her out, and he kept telling me to just leave her in... so it worked out as a great baby sitter for a good half an hour.
There was a lot of fun things to do in the park, and we went around buying hair bows, cotton candy, snow cones, (we are so healthy) and all the fair stuff.
I even ran into a Rigby girl, Tyree Kinghorn. (that isn't her name anymore...) and she was three weeks from having her second baby boy. It was really fun to talk to her and see what she was up to.
There was some fireworks that were at 10, but the girls kept telling me they needed a nap, so we went home and they all went to bed at 8! It was a great day!

All by myself

Brytlee is in such a crazy stage. She really wants to do everything herself, and she has been throwing fits about feeding herself. I really don't want her to do it because as you can see, most of the food ends up all over her. But while it is summer, I have taken her outside, and let her try it out a little. She is so proud of herself

She is such a cute girl, and I love her so much!

The rest of the story

I feel really bad! I didn't mean to make Ryan sound like a bad dad in any way, and if any of you though that... you are so wrong! He is the best dad in the world, and takes such great care of our kids. There is no one else that I would want for my girls father, and they love him so much! There is always two sides to the story, mine was I was in the shower, and ready to run around naked in a hotel searching for Elizabeth, and this is Ryan's....

OK, let me set the story straight since Jill made me sound like a bad father. The girls and I just finished swimming and I was putting towels on them and drying them off. Lizzy happened to be first so while Lex and I were getting towels Lizzy starts walking to the elevator, then all of a sudden she just takes off running around the corner. So Lex and I hurry to catch her(it wasn't very far) and find she has completely vanished. In so short of a distance the only thing that we can conclude is that she went in the elevator and it closed on her. Come to find out Jill's parents we just around the corner and that is why Lizzy started running, they were just walking into the other door going to the pool, so we just missed seeing them as we panicked thinking Liz went into the Elevator. So that, as you would say, is the rest of the story.

Park City

This last weekend our little family made a trip to Park City to stay with my parents in a Condo they had. It was so much fun! We were able to see my friend Shalee the first night we got there. It was great to see her, and hang out .
Shalee is so great with kids, and they all just love her!

We took a ride up the mountain and it was so beautiful. I can't remember what Mountain it was or how high we were, but it was so cool! We saw lots of little water falls and got up to where there was still snow. The view was beautiful!
We stopped for a while to pick flowers and the girls loved it!
I thought this was so cute! My dad is giving Brytlee a flower.
I was so sad because my camera ran out of batteries at this point, and there was so many other pictures I would have loved to have taken.
After our ride we went swimming and had a ton of fun! The girls are getting so good at swimming, and have so much fun doing it.
After Brytlee and I were done swimming we went up to our room to get a shower while Ryan and the girls stayed at the pool a little longer. While I was in the shower, Ryan ran in and said that Elizabeth walked off and he couldn't find her.... He thought she had gotten on the elevator and so she could be anywhere.... so I jump out of the shower, and call the front desk and let them know that we had lost a little girl, and run into the hall in a towel ready to go running around like crazy when I see her walking with my parents..... She saw them at the pool, and decided to go with them... It was so scary and Alexis was really freaked out. She told Ryan while they were looking for her, "Dad I don't want to lose her, I really like her"! And then she told me, "I was so scared I was just about to cry". So cute!
After all that, we went to a little fun park that had a carousel, and some other fun rides for the girls to go on.
Alexis and Elizabeth really loved it when we found the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and bought them there own Carmel apple! They were in heaven!
After the girls went to bed each night, we would stay up late playing cards with my parents, and talking! They are so much fun, and love to hang out and play games! I just love the so much, and loved every minute of this trip with them!
The next day we had another scary thing happen to the girls. While we were getting ready to leave, we went to the elevators. One opened so the girls jump in while a kid is pushing a cart, and blocks the doorway so we can't get in.... the doors close and we couldn't get to them. So the start screaming as loud as they could, and I jump on the stairs and run all the way to the bottom. Ryan said he could hear them all the way to the Lobby from where he was at.
Ryan had a football game that he had to go to. I was planning on watching the game until Ryan's brother Chase called us and said he has free tickets to Lagoon! So we couldn't pass that up!
I took all three girls by myself to Lagoon... with no stroller..... it was so much work, and it was so hot and crowded. But the girls had a blast, and they were free tickets! I really wish I would have had my camera working, Brytlee was able to go on most of the rides and was so fun to watch.
The girls were really mad at me because we didn't end up going swimming.... the wait just to get into the pools was over an hour, so we packed up at 6 and went home. We were all very tired!
Thanks mom and dad for a great weekend!!!! I love you

Happy Fathers Day

I hope all the dads had a great Fathers day. I think Ryan had a good day? The girls and I gave him a bike, so we can go on family bike rides together now! Yea!!!
We went on our first one on Fathers day, and it ended up with Alexis eating the road... it was so sad, and scary. We were going down a hill that was very long and she was going to fast, and so she slammed on her brakes... and then she flew over her handle bars. The poor girl, not only does she have a black eye, but now road rash. She is alright, no trips to the hospital, just a few band-aids and kisses.
I didn't get to see my Dad on Fathers day which was very sad, but I am going to see him this weekend! (that makes me feel much better). He is such a great guy, and is such a great example to me. I love him so much and love to be around him. He has such a inviting personality and always makes you feel like you are so important, and is always trying to make you feel comfortable by make you a milkshake, getting you a snack, put a good movie on for us or the girls, making popcorn, babysit, or if he knows you are going to visit, he will buy all your favorite snacks, and drinks just for you. He is always thinking about others, and is one of the most giving people in the world. He is really the number one dad!!!
I am also lucky to have married someone that is very much like my dad. He is such a great father to our girls, and I just love him more and more every day! I feel so lucky to have so many great men in my life. Because not only do I have the best dad, and husband, but also have a wonderful father in law, that I just think the world of also.
He is a lot like my dad, and is so sweet. He has helped us out so much with our house, and with any project we are working on, and always has time to play with our kids, or help babysit. I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful Father in Law, and love him so much!
Happy fathers day And Thank you so much Dads! I love you
