Ryan took the girls to church this week with out me because I was in Vegas and he told me a cute story about Brytlee. She wore a skirt to church and didn't want to keep it on. So she kept pulling it down and trying to take it off and Ryan kept telling her to "leave it on". But she wouldn't listen. Then they sang the closing song and it was the one that says "carry on carry on carry on" and she looked at Ryan and said, "they want me to leave it on"? She thought they were saying "Leave it on, leave it on, leave it on". So after that she left it on

Getting ready for Halloween

We had our friends the Marlows over the other night for Pizza and to watch the USU vs BYU football game. The girls all played really good and had so much fun. I had our Halloween things down and so the girls had to try on every costume that we have. It was really funny because a lot of them were way to small for them but they MADE them fit.

The girls are already trying to decide what they want to be for Halloween. Brytlee could care less what she is, Alexis wants to be something beautiful like a princess (of course) and Elizabeth wants to be something new every day. She told me she will be super woman first, then she will be Belle and then she will be a clown, and then a princess, and then a bunny....ect.

Lizzy goes to Pre-school

Elizabeth's first day of school!




Elizabeth started pre-school a little late this year because her teacher had a surgery this summer that ended up having some complications. Some how they hit a nerve and she can not feel her leg. Her teacher has had a hard time walking and is still trying to get things figured out. I feel so bad for her teacher....
Elizabeth is loving being back in school and wishes she could go every day all day long. I wonder if we should have put her in kindergarten this year (she missed the deadline by only nine days). But I think that she will like being the oldest in the class rather than the youngest.
I have been impressed with how smart Elizabeth is, she knows all her letters and sounds and everything a kindergartner would know. I guess that will make next year that much easier for her.

The girls caught a little baby mouse at the house a little while ago and they really wanted to keep it. It stayed in the bottle the whole time, and we had a little hole on the top of the lid.
The girls played with it for a little while, and then forgot where they left it..... so I think it is dead now and we have no idea where it is..... not going to be a good smell!!

Every time we go to the house we can't keep the girls clean. The last time I was there Brytlee found the one little puddle of tar that was not dry and played in it.... she had tar EVERYWHERE! I had to throw away her coat, pants, shirt, shoes and wash her from her hands to her toes with gas! I am so glad that she didn't touch her hair, or her face (that would have been very hard to clean)

School Carnival

Our School had a Carnival a couple of weeks ago. The girls had a lot of fun playing on all the bouncy toys.







The school had enough money raised that they are going to be able to put up some more playground equipment.

House update

Yea, we got our walls poured!

It started at 1:00 and they didn't get done until around 6:00
And now we have some beautiful walls up!!!!
This is Ryan's cousions husband. He sprayed all the tar on for us

We had to put re-bar on the inside walls to suport the walls and keep them straight as they poured the concreate. Now that it is dry, we have to go around and cut all of it off of the walls.... it really sucked!
I did all the walls that you can see on the side they are putting the rocks! I was really proud of my self.
Now we are working on our radiant heated floors and when the rain stops we can pour the floor.

I have been so proud of myself. I am not really big on canning and always wanted my mom to do all that stuff for me, but this year I had so many tomatoes, green peppers and onions that I did two giant batches of salsa, and then we also had a ton of apples so I did some apple sauce, and some bottled apple pie filling. I ended up with 24 bottles of apples sauce that is really yummy, and just five big bottles of filling. Yea, high five for myself.
I have to put down a couple of cute things about Brytlee before I forget them.
The other morning she woke up and it was raining. She went in and got in bed with Ryan, and asked him, "can you turn off the rain daddy"? He told her, "I don't know how". So she said, "Mommy can do it".
She loves the spray butter and whenever she wants butter on her toast she will tell us she wants some, "ch ch" She says it so cute and she also says "ch ch" for hair spray and perfume.

Funny

Now that Alexis is back in school Brytlee and Elizabeth have now become great little friends. And with that comes the fighting. Brytlee doesn't really know how to fight yet, but she knows how to get her way. She will either scream as loud and as high pitched as she can, or just throw a fit.
So yesterday when she was trying to get things to go the way she wanted them, Lizzy is mad at her and Brytlee just yells at her, "I'm the Baby"!!! And then latter when Brytlee was doing something and Alexis said, "why does she get to do that"? Brytlee yells at her, "I'm the Baby"!!! She is so funny!

Poor little baby Ava!

This is my little niece Ava Merrill's hand... (Brad and Sara's little girl) She grabbed some very hot Ramen noddles and spilled them on her hand and face....

She is such a sweety and Sara said that she is looking much better and she doesn't have to go see the doctors at the burn place anymore... Brad had told my parents that she has been happy and such a good girl through it all. She is such a good girl!

Elizabeths New Look!

Last night the girls both wanted hair cuts. So Alexis went first and said she wanted her hair short.... but after talking about what she wanted, she really only wanted a trim (we took off about two inches) and then when it was Elizabeth's turn she wanted her hair short like her friend Sydney's hair. I couldn't talk her out of it, and I have been wanting to do something different with her hair anyway, so I did it.... I don't know why but it was hard for me to do it and I was a little sad after it was done. But when she woke up this morning and her hair didn't have a million rats in it and I didn't have to do anything to it and she looked all cute and styled, I decided I love it!!!!
