Halloween

This Halloween was so nuts.  I am never going to plan so much in one day ever again.  I am still so tired from it all that I just want to do nothing.  So at 9 we had activity days and I helped the girls make halloween sugar cookies.  Then make a ton of donuts for the Halloween trunk or treat and then off to Ryan's doctor appointment.  When I got home I saw that my kids were being so cute and were in a cooking mood and thought I was making cinnamon rolls instead and finished them for me.  The kitchen was a mess and our house looked like a bomb went off but I had to make three more batches of donuts and hurry and take the girls to the dentist…..

While at the dentist the doctor some how talked me into putting braces on Alexis.  It is something we have talked about already but she had three more cavities and her teeth are soft and with all the crowding she has in her mouth it just makes it so much easier for her to get them.  So I said, "do it"

Alexis and her friends batch of cinnamon rolls.  they were still good even thought they were made from donut dough.

We had so many pans of donuts and Ryan took them all over to the trunk or treat and cooked them in the dutch oven there so they were hot and fresh for everyone to eat.

It always takes me so much longer than I think it is going to to get everyone ready for Halloween.  Alexis looked so grown up and made a beautiful Elsa

Adison went as Auna and was so adorable!

Elizabeth was the new NICE maleficent and she looked amazing!

Love can unthaw a frozen Heart!

I know you, I walked with you once upon a time!

Brytlee was also Elsa and I made her costume from scratch.  I  was pretty impressed with myself.  Brytlee was a beautiful Elsa also.

Ryan was the Krispy Cream Donut man and I was a football player, and Max was my football!

Ryan and his good friend Steve cooked the donuts together.   I felt bad because Ryan said he didn't even get to eat one.

I thought it was funny that Alexis and her good friend Caimbrey were both Elsa and then the little sisters were both Auna.

After the trunk or treat we loaded up fast and drove to my parents house because the next day was Cache's baptism.  I knew that if we didn't go the night before there was no way were would make it on time.  I was being a dork and was wearing a red cape for most of the party and Annette snapped a picture and posted that I was dressing my truth.  Some may take it a few different ways.

My dad came in with this cool mask and we all loved it.  the mouth moved and he could stick his tongue out and drink and when he talked it moved.  It was so funny.

football  pose,  Max was such a cute football!   My kids all got way to much candy and had a ton of fun with their friends.  At the end Adison was so excited and she said, "mom, I totally won!"

de-horned

Ryan has had these horns on the top of his head for a long time…. at least five or six years or more.  I got him an appointment to have them removed and I really wanted to go with him so I could watch.  They were some kind of cyst and they were awesome.  He had a really big one and that one was the best one to watch.  He cute them open and the white goo would come out and it was just like a cool zit, and then after he got all that out he would take the tweezers and pull out the sack which looked like a eyeball.  I would have never thought they would look or feel the way they did.  I told him if he gets anymore I know how to do it and I can take them out for him.  I would actually love to do that!  He thinks I am so morbid but I just enjoy stuff like that and a little blood doesn't bother me.

He had to get stitches in each one and you can not even tell that he had it done.  He said it hurts like he just got hit in the head and if I touched them he would cry like a little girl later that day, but besides that they are great.  Before his appointment he was sure that He needed to shave his head for it and I am so glad he didn't do that…….

Halloween Carnival

Alexis's school had a fun little carnival for Halloween and the girls all wanted to go.  They all wanted to get their faces painted and go play at all the booths.

The lady they had come and paint faces was so good.  She could do it in less than five minutes and they were so cute.  She also used something that didn't itch or bug them, and it stayed on really well.

A little cheetah

Brytlee had a butterfly

Elizabeth was so creepy!  But still so adorable.

And Alexis told her to make her look like Elsa.  It worked out perfect because Alexis was going to be Elsa the next day for Halloween anyway so she just kept it on.

Stuff

I went in again to just talk to the doctor to figure out what is going on with Elizabeth.  Adison was taking pictures while I was talking to the doctor and as you can see she took one of me with my stressed out and worried face.   She also got one below of me cuddling my little man!  I love it when he snuggles into me and and I get a good hug from him.

She wanted me to take a picture of her, and then she had to pose like this.  She is so funny

Max has started to pose…. I thought this was so funny that he did this when I put the camera up to take a picture.

He loves to sit on his daddys lap and watch football.  He was just so happy and calm sitting there for the longest time.  We have never had any of our kids want to sit still on us for more than a few minutes at a time so this is so fun to have one that will.

As I was trying to take a picture of dad and Max, Adison kept photo bombing the picture!

I was so mad at Alexis (or her teacher)  for not letting me know she had a concert.  I had so many things going on and I looked like a mess and Alexis told me I needed to take her to the school for her concert in a half an hour….. I told her she had not told me about it and she swears up and down that she did.  The way my brain has been the past few months that could  be true.  I tried to get everything done so I could make it to it and right when I got the the concert, it was over.  GRRRRRR

Grandma and Grandpa Harris knew about it and they were able to watch and they said it was so good… (that just made me more sad that I missed it)  Alexis had a lead part of screaming in one of the songs and they said that it was so great.  grrrrr again.  I am so sad I missed it.

new pup

We have a lot of fields around us, and are in the city, but really more in the country which means me get a lot of deer in our yard.  The sound of that is cool, but what they do to our yard is not.   In the past four years we have planted six new tree's and they have eaten every single one down to a stub.  We have planted three new fruit trees and they have tried to eat them but we have put plastic on them and chicken wire around them and got them stopped before the tree's died. Well now it is fall and the deer are coming into the yard really bad and now they are eating our tree's that are not new.  That isn't very common for the deer but they will do it.  They have for sure killed one apple tree, and have eaten half of a plum tree, and they have just started on another apple tree.  It makes me so mad and I am so sick about it.  I love all the fruit we get from our tree's in the summer and don't want any of them dead.  I can walk around to each tree and see bite marks on each tree and other spots they have rubbed the horns on them.  In the past our renters have had dogs so I thought that might be why they are coming into the orchard now.  Sooooooo

We got a puppy.  We don't have a name for sure yet but we like Zowy, or Espn.  I am not a dog person and I am still a little nervous about having a dog, but my girls are all in heaven.  If it keeps the deer out of our yard then I will know it was a good choice.

This is the other reason I don't really like dogs….. they bite.  So while I was at this lady's house picking out our puppy the mom dog bit Max.  I was so mad and the more I think about it the more upset I get.  She wasn't very nice about it and didn't even apologize.  I was kneeling on the ground looking at three or four puppies and Max was on my lap when the mom dog walked up beside us and just made a fast move with a snap.  I wasn't sure what she did until Max started to shake and I could feel him holding his breath.  When I turned him around and saw this spot on his nose I freaked out and said, "your dog just bit my baby!"  The lady was so weird and said, "no, she would never do that."  (instead of I am SORRY)  I said, "I saw her just walk by us and she just nipped at him."  She just kept saying "her dog wouldn't do that'  so I just told her that I needed to clean it out and asked her to get us something for that.  Even when we left she didn't act like she felt bad about it.  The next day it was so red that I messaged her and asked if her dog had it's shots and was caught up on everything.  She replied and said that her son had been bit and he was fine so there shouldn't be any problems……  some people are so weird.  "my dog would never do that…. but it did bit my son a while ago… ha"
But my kids are in love, and I hope that with some training we can help this puppy be a good dog.  I just pray it doesn't bark all the time and be annoying like some dogs.
