Christmas Day

We had such a great Christmas this year.  I was so happy to see the kids open the presents and feel the excitement of Christmas.  It is so fun to have kids on Christmas, nothing better than the look on their faces.  Ryan was so funny because he can not believe our kids sleep in on Christmas.  He says as a kid he was always the one who would wake up at five in the morning and get everyone going on presents.  I am way different.  I enjoy sleeping in… so I can enjoy it and not want to pass out.  I told the kids when they were little that the first one that wakes up has to wait the longest to open gifts and I guess it worked.  I think it was around 9 that they all woke up and were ready to open presents and Ryan just said, "these kids can not be my kids…."  he couldn't believe they could sleep in.

Max slept the longest and was so funny.  He had a truck that had three balls in the back of it and as soon as he saw them that is the only thing he wanted.  he didn't care about anything else but the balls and was so frustrated he couldn't hold them all at that same time.

All the girls love to play dolls together so I think they are going to love the new doll house.  And we have a ton of new concrete outside so they are going to have a ton of fun on the wiggle car this summer.

Max still holding on to his balls.  He loves them

Poor Alexis woke up not feeling very well.  She was so slow and didn't feel the best but was a great sport.  As soon as we were finished with the presents she ran to the toilet and started throwing up.  It lasted the whole day and she slept a lot.  I felt so bad for her…. no one should get sick on Christmas.

Photo bomb!

Our little twins!

Max put his balls down for a minute to play with his new car.

We finally got snow on Christmas morning.  The kids were so happy and had to go play outside!

Max found his favorite toys again.  He is so much fun!!!

After we opened our gifts we wanted to remind the girls what Christmas was really about so we went into our room and watched a few of the Mormon Messages about Christmas.  It really helped to bring the spirit into our home and makes Christmas mean so much more.  I loved the one about "he is the gift"  it is so true.  We are so blessed to know the truth about Jesus and what he has done for us.  I am so thankful for the plan that we have on earth so that we can return to be with our Heavenly father.  I know that is was not an easy thing for our Heavenly father to send his only begotten son to save us, but he did it because he loves all of us so much.  He knew that this was the only way and it had to be done.  It was the first gift of Christmas and it was the best gift.  Christ is the gift!
