While we were building our house my girls kept asking if we could have a farm now that we had more land? I wasn't against it and would really like to get animals because I love them, and grew up with them around and really enjoyed it, but Ryan isn't really into that, and doesn't want to worry about taking care of them. But we have our house that we rent and our new renters that I LOVE so much have changed everything. When they moved in they asked us if we would be interested in sharing some chickens if they brought them up (for eggs) and I was so excited, and so we said yes. We go through 6 to a dozen eggs a day sometimes so I am loving the eggs we get from the chickens.

Then Ryan and I bought a pig just for meat a little while ago and it was so yummy that we wanted to have another one for next year and so did our neighbors so we bought some pigs together. The one on the left is ham and the one on the right is bacon.

They also have a goat that they use for milk. I was so excited when they told me that I could milk it whenever I want. I think it is so cool milking a goat, and my girls love it also. My girls are not so into drinking the milk, they are used to 1% and it tastes more like whole milk.

I am also LOVING our little fruit trees. We have two peach trees, a cherry tree, a gooseberry bush, a apricot tree, a plum tree, and a bunch of apple trees.

We did two gardens this year and I am so glad that they are doing so well. With how weird the weather was this year I didn't know if it would or not.

We have five or six huge pumpkins and ten or more huge watermelons. (can you see the big melon on the side of the pumpkin?)

You can see a couple other watermelons and the other group of corn that is just about ready.

This little tree is loaded with golden delicious apples. It is tipping a little because there is so many apples on it.

we have a couple plum tree's and they look so pretty right now. The girls love to eat plums and they are so excited for them to be ready. On of our plum tree's is like a white plum and someone said they are a sugar plum and they are suppose to be yummy. We are so excited to try them

this picture looks like a huge bunch of weeds, but it is not.... It is a bunch of tomato plants, and pepper plants. I have never scene tomato plants get this big, and have so many tomato's on them. The only problem is that we have not gotten them to turn red yet. I am looking forward to canning a lot of salsa and tomato paste, and tomato's this year so they had better hurry up!

Or raspberry's were amazing this year. The kids would go out and pick and eat all the time. Ryan was good at picking a big bowl every day and we have a lot of jam and just frozen berries to last us through the winter. We had so many that our neighbors were able to eat as much as they wanted, and some friends and family also came and took what they wanted, and we still had a lot falling on the ground. I already can't wait till next year to eat some more fresh raspberry's.
