After being in our new ward for over a year, Ryan has been put in as the President in the Elders.
I had been giving him a hard time and wondering why they gave such a amazing guy such easy callings for the last year..... (he has been the weblo's scout leader, and a sub for sunday school) I think it had something to do with building a house, working full time and being a football coach... = no extra time for anything!
I have had a lot of people ask me if I am ready for this.... I am not sure what to expect or what they really mean. I know that it will take up a lot of time, and I also know that Ryan will do a great job at it. I am so blessed to be married to such a wonderful man that is so strong in the church and a great example to his family. ( and I can't leave out he is incredibly good-looking!!!!)

My hubby had that calling for 3 years and my advice is this: Get used to unexpected phone calls, and times when he needs to leave and he can't tell you anything about it. Realize the people he's serving need him more than you do, (even when your day is crazy and all you want is for him to come home), and stop and count the blessings that your family receives in return. You'll fall in love with him even more!
I'm sure he will do AWESOME! Adam is the EQ Pres in our ward and he LOVE LOVE LOVES it! I'm sure Ryan will do an amazing job. It seems the more time we give the Lord the more quality time we end up having together. This is such a fun and exciting time for both of you. Enjoy it!...and keep a journal! Looking back on when Adam was first put in and now just makes me smile and appreciate everything so much more.
