Spring break

We had a fun spring break with Alexis out of school! I was wanting to get some extra sleep, but do you think we ever slept in? ??? No
I took the girls on a date and they were so excited! We watched "Horton hears a Who" and they really liked it. They were so happy when they saw the Theater had Dip'n Dots, which is their favorite ice cream.
Jex and Mia had a birthday party at Leo's place, and the girls had a great time!
Brytlee was going crazy in the padded area, and wanted to go down the slide... I wanted to hang out with the adults and chat, but she kept running to the play area!

We went to the pool with Annette's kids and my mom. Now that my girls know about the swimming pool, I don't think we will ever be able to go to see my family, and not go swimming! They already have green hair.

This is Karsten going down the slide!Alexis getting really mad at me because I wouldn't take her floaty swimming suit off!
boo hoo
Lizzy loves the kiddie pool, and it is hard to get her to go into the big pool! She is such a chicken.... but that is alright with me.

Summer and Brytlee hanging out in the hot tub! Is there anything better than a bahba and hot water? (hey Emily, you can't really tell, but she has on the same swim suit that Ava has) (so cute)

Alexis really likes to go under the water, and dive! She finally complained enough to get me to take her floaty swimming suit off of her, and she loved it. Having three kids in the water is scary, and so I really like the safe swimming suit, but she did great, and swam like a fish! I didn't get any pictures of her with it off because the battery in my camera died...
We set a record for swimming for 5 hours strait.

You're such a good mom! What a good idea to go on a girls' date! We usually call it a girls day! Is that your family's pool? We've got an aunt here that lets us use her private pool and it's so much nicer to have the whole thing to yourself! I think it's hard to have two kids in the pool at a time so you are pretty amazing to have three in at once. By the way, didn't you love Horton? I thought it was the cutest movie that's come out in a while! Well, keep having fun and taking pictures!

I love girls day out! It looks like you had such a great time! Swimming is a wonderful activity for both parent and child. Our kids use to swim at least 5 hours a day in AZ. They basically lived in their swim suits. They would fall alseep so easy every night. Reading you blog made me realize just how much I miss those days!

p.s. If the girls loved Horton you should make then the breakfast from IHOP. Their's isn't very good. But, super easy to make at home with some yummy pancakes and a pink dum dum in the middle. My kids love it! Also if you make buttermilk syrup you can color it so it looks identical to the IHOP pic.
