this and that

when Brytlee was a baby we took a really funny picture of her like this, but it was outside and all you could see was her in the blue sky.  So while Uncle Chase was playing with Adison I got the camera out, and then said, "it kinda looks like she is falling from the railing...... then....
Ryan had a great idea for this picture..... Chase is still playing catch with her, and she was NOT thrown by Ryan.  We all had good five minute laugh, or at least I did.
We made a homemade pizza for FHE and the girls loved it.

Brytlee lost ANOTHER tooth.  She is only six and has lost 8 teeth.  It is crazy how fast she is losing them, I know kids in second and third grade that still have all their baby teeth.
Adison has started to LOVE glasses.  She is always trying to steal mine and put them on.  I remember doing the same thing with my mom's glasses and it made it feel so weird when I walked.  I did it a lot as a kid so I wonder if that is why my eyes are so bad..... I don't like the idea of it so I took the lenses out of these glasses so Adi can wear them all she wants.
She is such a little poser.  I don't know how they learn at such a young age how to tilt their heads but most of my girls do this in pictures.

All about Brytlee

Brytlee is our girl that we still have not figured out.  She has so many sides to her.  She is sweet and kind, funny, (loves to make people laugh)  She can be such a great helper and is really good at cleaning,  she is very creative, loves to color, or make bracelets/necklaces.  Her other side can also be a little mischievous, she likes to sneak into things, and even though she can be very loud and active, she is very shy and quiet at times.   She is a very good girl, and is doing her best to make good choices and she is a very deep thinker.
Brytlee is in Kindergarten this year and has a great teacher that she loves.  She is such a smart girl and can read, do numbers, ect.
Brytlee loves to play with anyone.  She gets along with boy's/ girls no matter what age they are.  She just likes to have a good time, and for some time when she gets playing she does get a little loud and wild.  I think it may push some kids away, and I try to help her understand... but at times like that I can't help but think she is a little me....
Brytlee is such a little story teller right now.  She can make up some really crazy ones.  I have to remind her about the boy that called wolf story every once and a while.... Her teacher just sent us home a note that said how much she loves Brytlee's funny stories she tells.  I got a little nervous....
Every night at bedtime when tucking her in I know that she is going to ask me to cuddle with her.  She loves to snuggle and tell me stories about school or friends.  Out of all my girls she is the only one that has been afraid of the dark and has to have her door open at nights.
Ever sense she was a tiny little girl she has always been happy to go off and play alone if no one else is around.  She can entertain herself very well and has a great imagination.  It is fun to sneak in on her and listen to her playing.  (she used to hiss like a cat at me if she saw me watching her..... kinda funny but we had to tell her not to do that.)
She is not a girly girl and likes to play hard and a little ruff.  She is always getting dirty, and does not mind at all.  She isn't a tom boy, but just knows how to have a good time.  (she reminds me a lot of me as a kid)
Her favorite color is purple,
favorite book is Book of Mormon Stories
favorite movie is Rapunzel (I think the new one)
best friend is Sydney from her class and her sisters
Her favorite memory was going to the beach and Disney Land
Favorite thing to do at school is playing
Favorite thing to do in spare time is play outside, ride bikes, jump, climb trees, run around, build forts, swing, and color.
Favorite sport is soccer
She also loves to play dolls, polly pockets and pet shops with her sisters.
As a family she loves to play the matching game and she has such a great memory and is very good at it.  She also loves to play other card/board games as a family.
When she grows up she wants to be a Vet and a mommy.
I really love Brytlee's spirit and love her smile, she is such a great girl and I love her so much.  I feel so blessed to have this sweet girl as my daughter and can't wait to see what the next year brings.

sledding

we had such a great year for snow this year and by the time it was melting and almost all gone I realized that we had not really done much playing in it.  So just a block from our house there is a big dirt hill that is the perfect size for the girls so they don't have to climb to far.
Ryan is such a boy.  He sat at the top most of the time and threw snowballs at the girls.  Even when he hit them and they would start to fake cry he wouldn't stop.

Ryan really is such a kid at heart.  I love seeing that side of him come out.
Adison was happy just to watch everyone.  She wasn't a fan of going down the hill and it made her a little scared.

Party number 2

Brytlee had her first friend party.  I have done some for the girls before but I think they were a little older.  I usually don't have to do much for them cause they all just run around and play the whole time.  But I found out with 5 and 6 year old, they all have to be doing something or they have problems.....
I didn't want to make another cake and Alexis thought I was being crazy so she made the cake all by herself.  I didn't even know she was doing it until she was frosting it.  (such a nice sister)

The party was only two hours long and it went really fast.  I told the girls that they were in charge of the games and they could do whatever they wanted.  The did red rover, mother may I, red light green light, down by the banks of the hanky panky, just dance, pin the tail on the donkey, and a bunch of other games.

Brytlee turns 6

Brytlee is getting so big.  I don't know where the time is going...... She wanted a butterfly birthday cake and she wanted to decorate it herself.  She did a great job (I did help a little)

Brytlee has been talking about her birthday and her party all year long.  I think the first day of school she told me that she invited her teacher to her birthday party.
Adison really wanted to hold the baby.  He is five months old and he looks bigger than her.  This is Mike and Haley's new baby James.

 What a spoiled little girl.

we always take a big bite out of the cake after the candles.  Brytlee took a big bite of the candy bar and the kids all freaked out.  "no... I want that"  It was funny.
We went swimming and it turned out to be  a little outnumbered.  There were three adults and A LOT of kids.  It was just a crazy night and Leash had to leave because Kinley was sick,  Haley had to leave cause James needed to go to bed, and I can't remember where Judy had to go.  Even though they had to leave the party it still turned out great and Brytlee had fun with all her cousins and our neighbors.

Happy Girls

I have been so behind on all my pictures and I have had so much going on that I would love to write down, and make sure I remember so I am going to try and catch up.  Adison loves to be in the water, she has turned into a little fish.  As a baby she was not a fan of her baths and didn't dare to get in the big tub without mom or dad.  Now she wants to bath every day, and she swims around and will stay in forever.
If ANYONE gets in the shower, Adison will strip down and jump in as fast as she can.  For Adison's birthday she got some foam soap and this Alexis was being very funny one day and made her a little bikini with it......

And she also gave herself a foam.... whatever you would call this.   She is so funny!
Alexis had a hippie day at school and she had to dress up.  She ended up winning the best looking hippie, and won a coupon for one free assignment.
She does make a really cute hippie!
Alexis has become such a good little baker.  The morning of Brytlee's birthday she woke up and made muffins and put them in a shape of a heart, with this cute card in the middle that she made for her.   She can be so thoughtful and such a sweet sister.  Alexis has grown up so much this year.  She is such a great helper for me and can babysit really well.  When she is in a good mood when she babysits she will clean the house, make dinner, and do a ton of fun stuff with the girls.   When she is in a not so great mood she still does a great job but we just get a lot of phone calls from all the girls asking when we are going to be home, or complaining about something.   But for the most part she has done a wonderful job!

This is something not so cute.   I really am getting so nervous about this little lump on Adison's neck.  I took her to the doctor and he said that it was a lymph node that was swollen and it would go away.  It has been there for three months now, and I think it might be getting bigger.

Adison is such a little monkey, she can climb up on everything.  If she is not on one thing she is into another.  She has a weird obsession with lotion, hair gel, and soap.  (and sugar)  if she is not in one thing, or on something, it is the other.
Adison is such a girly girl.  She loves to look PRETTY, and to dress up.  When we are getting her dressed for the day she always throws a fit and wants to wear a church dress.  She loves lip stick and everything else that is girly.
This is a cute little outfit that we bought for Elizabeth when we went over to Hawaii.  Adison looked cute in it, and loved to pose for the camera!

Adison got into my mascara and put it on as a mustache......
Elizabeth had a cute little friend that lives down the street and we love having her come over.  I told her she could come over anytime, and so the other day she walked home from school with Elizabeth and Ryan said,
"what is Jaycee doing hear?"  and Liz thought she was going to be in trouble I think so she said, "she just followed me home"  I had to laugh, she is so cute.

Brytlee was asked to be a flower girl at Ryan's cousins wedding, and they made this adorable dress for her to wear.  When she came to have Brytlee try it on Elizabeth was a little jealous that she was going to be a flower girl and said, "I want to be one"  so Ryan's aunt being superwoman and as nice as she is went home and made Lizzy a dress and now they both get to be in the wedding.  The are going to look so cute, and they can not wait to wear their dresses.

Adison in a dress up, and her hair has something in it..... this is how we roll most days.  She once rubbed vicks in her her hair and it took a week to get the grease out.... I ended up using dish soap to get it out....  Last time I gave her yogurt it all ended up in her hair.  I don't know why she likes to style her hair with whatever messy thing she can get her hands on, but with a face like that.... how can you get mad at her.

cruise part 4

The second day at Cabo we went to the other side of the beach which I think is called lovers beach or it was close to it.  The weather was perfect and the water was warm and the kids had so much fun.
There was cool little caves in the rocks
The waves were a little bigger and the under toe was a little stronger so at first I was a little nervous to watch Brytlee play in it but after a few hits she got the hang of it and was fine.  I was so proud of Summer for going out and having fun in the waves.  I am getting to old and just don't love getting wet and then cold...... and I was loving the warm sun so I just watched the whole time.
the kids found crabs on the rocks and the were singing little mermaid as they climbed them.

A little crab that I touched and it exploded.... I don't know why it had such a soft shell..
You could walk over to one side of the beach and you were on the Pacific ocean and they said the other side was the sea of Cortez.  The Side of the sea of Cortez had waves so big that I think you would die as soon as they hit you so we just looked and then went back to the other side.

Brytlee's dream for a long time has been to go to the ocean, play on the beach and find sea shells.  For some reason these beaches didn't have any great shells, abut we did find some small snail shells on the rocks so she was in heaven!

 Kids club!!!
Brytlee is a little scared when it comes to swimming all by herself and she wouldn't get into the pool until I had to just throw her in.  When she saw Tessa and Ava swimming I thing it helped her out so she was a little more brave.
Elizabeth had so much fun with Mia.  They could just hang out all day long and laugh and laugh and laugh.  I loved watching them talk together.

Brytlee really liked the kids club and was so excited one morning because they were going to do face painting.  She could hardly sleep that night because she was so excited.  So when I went to go and pick her up I was expecting to see her face painted and see how happy she was...... but a different little kid had spilled the paint so they didn't do any more face painting that day.... she was so sad and I felt bad for her.  But on the last day they took her aside and made sure she got her face painted!!!!
I felt like this trip went by way to fast and I was so sad for it to be over.  I think I went into a little post par-tom trip depression for a couple days after we were home.  But the good part about being home was I got to see my little Adison again.  I was so sad to leave her home but I know she would have been a little hard on a trip like this with her having to have a nap and going to bed early and everything.  And I know that she had lots and lots of fun with Grandma and Grandpa Harris.
